I have seen reports of bumper to bumper oil tankers headed out of Iran. My question is WHY doesn't the US interdict the flow? A10's in a couple of quick passes on all outgoing traffic nightly will aid inflation and put pressure on IRGC.

Seems like they would use rail.

I doubt theyre moving enough by truck to move the needle anywhere. A truck doesnt hold much.

Should be real easy to add one on your very next post, with multiple reports. I’m genuinely interested.

Yeah the China/Iran rail corridor would seem to make more sense here

And some genius on here will think we should blow that to pieces as if that wouldn't be a direct provocation toward China

We are already doing it and the Chinese aren’t doing shite about it. Stopping Iranian tankers is a direct provocation towards China.

You actually think there is "bumper to bumper" oil tanker trucks leaving the country of iran?

I did see some report or something that said Iran was moving some oil by truck and rail. Speculation was it was mostly for "get away" money when the thing finally collapses.
Nothing large scale. Ridiculous to think road and rail can even partially make up for what shipping vessels carry.

A single Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) can hold over 2 million barrels of oil — roughly equivalent to 15,000–20,000 standard tanker trucks, depending on truck size and load

Because it's a negligible amount.

Simple solution since I can't link account try one of the GPT search engines and ask the question about Iran smuggling routes and apparently there are thousands of tankers daily. Multiple sources to dig thru. Click and read.

Exactly. We all know what a wonderful time Xi had in the USA with POTUS Trump recently. I have not ever seen Xi laugh out loud so much while he was with POTUS Trump.

So what does that mean?

No, because if there was bumper to bumper oil tanker trucks leaving Iran, i wouldnt have to search for it, as it's completely counter to a currently common trump talking point. I wouldnt be able to avoid it.

In addition, sure would take a lot of hard to come by diesel fuel to fuel all those trucks.

So search:

quote:

It takes about 3,300 to 5,000 tanker trucks to equal the cargo capacity of an average large oil tanker ship.

Capacity Breakdown • Average Tanker Ship (VLCC - Very Large Crude Carrier): Carries about 2 million barrels of oil, which equals roughly 84 million gallons (or 300,000 metric tons). •

Average Tanker Truck: Holds about 8,500 to 11,600 gallons (roughly 200 to 280 barrels) of fuel or oil, limited by highway weight limits

There is a reason moving oil by ships is preferred.

Same people yowling about a single school getting hit would be pissing themselves over civilian truck drivers being "murdered" by air strikes.
