Not so sure I agree with this. The regime will fall one way or the other.

I don't think it takes much expertise to understand that Iran is going to be hard to invade and their regime learned all the right lessons from the 19th and 20th century revolutions. The geography is not conducive to a land invasion, so air-based deployment and supply lining is the only way to operate. That is fraught in an era where they can harass paratroopers and supply drops with drones. Additionally, they have firm grasp over the cops and military. Most revolutions require one or both of those groups having significant numbers flip on the government.

I think the decision to get into this war was pure hubris and can only be made right by protracting a level of bombing that would permanently damage our geopolitical prestige and harden the resolve of our enemies to consider striking hard at us first before we can do what we did to Iran to them.

We don't want them to surrender.
We want them to use up ever piece war apparatus and hopefully their people with rise up and execute their POS leaders.
