Just carpet bomb the Gulf

Then do it again 20 times the next day

Then get the ships moving

Sounds like a great scenario for the A-10 Warthog.

Iran laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz

TurkeyBaconLeg laying mines in the Bowl of MyPooz

Did not realize the Navy had some all wood hull ships made of cypress and Douglas fir.

Avenger class minesweepers I’m guessing

Wood is tough but flexible giving ship the ability to withstand a mine going off nearby while the ship carries a low magnetic signature

When you’re wrong as often as you are do you ever pause and realize how stupid you look? Or attempt to make any change?

Straights of Hormuz is officially closed indefinitely and it won't be reopened by any airplanes.

Even if they manages to lay some mines our technology will clear that shite in a day

People really have no clue just how advanced our military tech is. Iranian mines are not keeping the straits closed indefinitely

The U.S. on D day cleared lanes of mines so well for landing craft that only one ship was sunk by mines. And that was against a formidable German military

Do you really think fricking Iran can one up the U.S. military on this in 2026?

We should just blow up any boat trying to leave their ports. Sink every last one in the port no mercy no charter fishing trips.

We’ve destroyed over 5000 targets but yea we lost track of the motorboats and just let them lay mines without notice. Lol.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to explain to me why EVERY huge tanker isn't equipped with protective weapons that can disable smaller water craft.

Don’t know if it’s the same as in 1981 but if it is the stay off of Saturday Morning Homework Makeup.

I remember that time. Things were still harry with the USSR and the Cold War. I'm sure you had some pucker factor involved from time to time. Hee Hee.

I think the movie Red Dawn came out about then, early 80s anyway. The US was ready to get it on back then if the USSR made a misstep. The Iranians released the 52 Hostages right after Reagan was sworn in, in January of 81.

Thank you for your service! You served during interesting and dangerous times.

I thought after day 3 the US was saying they destroyed their Navy completely. Evidently not.

Study and work the problems. Make sure they are always correct, because you will have to redo them if they are wrong anyway. It’s important because it’s training you to be right because there isn’t room for mistakes
Expect to spend 80 hours a week in the school, because you can’t study out of school. Materials are Classified

Going thru Thermodynamics Class at LSU, I really struggled. It was a "nuke" guy out of the Navy that really helped it click for me. He knew how to do thermo and read steam tables because of the Navy. He was a God send.

These ships are being hit by missiles. not mines.

X post above shows vessel hit by drone boat. I think drone boats or air drones are hitting these vessels. I'm just guessing that the Iran missile launching days are about over, but guessing most activity for them is drone activity.
