Counter offer:

You immediately re-open the strait and not fire on any ships. Keep it open, and in one year we will consider easing some sanctions.

I haven’t heard anything about the Straight in a long time. I believe that likely means everything’s been flowing through there without any hassle for Iran.

They gotta go. Period. Finish it.

How specifically?

Invasion?
Nukes?

Or just maintain status quo and hope they collapse before the global economy does due to energy market disruptions which seems to be the current plan.

Im not saying its collapsing. Im saying that as energy prices stay high and reserves run out economic collapse / severe recessions are increasingly likely in the face of increasing costs and global debt service issues.

I asked a very simple question, one I was asking from the very jump: how do you force a close to this situation if the current fiscal embargo doesn't work?

Are we invading or are you fine with the entirety of the Trump term being spent waiting out Iran while diesel costs $6.35 a gallon?

If congress goes blue tomorrow the entirety of the political capital we saw Trump enter his second term with will have been spent on whatever this is and its just wild to me that so many of you are fine with that.

Oil is flowing now at pre dust up levels, the price will start to drop.

Diesel will still be an issue about half the shortage was the middle east but half of it is cargo pants continuing to blow up refineries to please his EU overlords.

Thils middle east situation did hurt the mid terms. But it is as Trump said before it started.....this shat has been going on for 50 years and they are intent on taking it to the next level by pursuing nukes. Someone had to do something even though he knew it was unpopular.

Of course we know the strait is open for business and we wont remove sanctions.

What evidence do you have of that?

So, in their imagination, the straight is closed and only they have the power to open it?

They have the power to sink ships passing through it, which is no less than the power or the US Navy as it stands now. We're in this situation because our enlightened administration underestimated Iran, so the best thing we can all do is stop doing that.
