Here is actually a detailed tweet from the story from the NYT. Yes, it sounds like propaganda from the CIA
Iran has prepared missiles and other military equipment for strikes against U.S. bases in the Middle East should the United States join Israel’s ongoing war against the country, according to U.S. intelligence officials who spoke with the New York Times.
If the United States joins the Israeli campaign and strikes the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP) in Central Iran, a key nuclear facility, the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen will almost certainly resume striking commercial and navy ships in the Red Sea, officials said. They added that Iranian-backed militia groups in Iraq and Syria would probably try to attack U.S. bases there, like occurred several time in 2024, most recently with a missile attack against U.S. Forces in Syria last Friday. While other officials said that in the event of an attack, Iran could begin to mine the Strait of Hormuz, a tactic meant to pin and target U.S. naval vessels in the Persian Gulf."

Yep. At this point they can't have too many functional launchers left and every time they do throw a salvo up there, that just lets Israel know where to drop the next JDAM to take the systems out.
What was the amount of Iranian missiles lobbed up last night? Only 10 ballistic missiles if reports were correct? What are they going to have left to target US Bases with?
Sounds like more like scare tactics to entice us to join in and waste some more taxpayer dollars on a job that is almost already completed by Israel.

Oh no!!! I'll bet we don't have ANY contingencies for Iran targeting our stuff with their missiles. Who would have EVER thought that you wouldn't be able to trust the Iranians? Nobody could see this coming!!!
There has never been a time we wouldn't think that Iran would do something like that. Why would now be any different?

This is worded as if its purely defensive, not that Iran is planning to hit the US bases first.
Why would anyone be surprised that Iran would target US bases in the region if we started dropping bombs on them too?

Correct. Both things can't be True. We are told Israel is dominating and took out most air defense and missile launchers but also Iran is about to attack U.S. bases

They were scheduled to meet on Sunday but Israel did a suprise attack on Friday. Then Israel bragged Trump was being a decoy. Do you not read anything or just look at 1 Twitter account and post it?
