Gaza is an area, but I suppose that you meant Hamas.
I did, but they're synonymous.
quote:
Why exactly did the IDF abandon their areas of defense and prioritize other areas, when supposedly their sources (including US intelligence) warned them of Oct 7 attack?
Victim blaming, eh? Yes, somehow it's the IDF's fault that Hamas' brutally attacked, tortured and killed innocent people. You might as well say it's the fault of the people themselves for daring to not be Muslim.
quote:
Have you wondered why the great and strong IDF couldn't defend their population against lil ole Hamas?
The same "lil ole Hamas" who would send rockets into Israel? The same "lil ole Hamas" who caused it's two neighboring countries to erect a giant barrier to keep Gazans from coming into their countries because of their violence?
quote:
Hezbollah doesn't want a war any more than the evacuated citizens of northern Israel want a war.
You're right, what they want is to strike at Israel then piss and moan and cry to the international community when Israel gets tired of it and finally fights back. Thanks for the clarification, it's still a FAFO situation for Hezbollah every bit as much as it is for Hamas.
quote:
do research
I do and the old Golda adage still holds true. If Hamas were to give up all their prisoners today, the fighting would stop. They don't, ergo they don't want peace. If Hezbollah were to stop firing on Israel, Israel would stop pager-bombing them.
We've already seen what happens when Israel lets down its guard (much less lays down its arms), you even referenced it.
quote:
Again, I ask you, if the US cut off financial support for Israel today, what would the amount be of the check you'd send Bibi tomorrow?
That's a silly question. Where, exactly, did I indicate that we should be financially supporting Israel's wars? Hint: I didn't because we shouldn't. If anything we should be selling them arms instead of giving arms to them.
Don't mistake the ability of being able to decide on who is in the wrong with full-throated support of them, especially to the point of involving ourselves.

Iran maybe throwing in the white towel--announces it wants to de-escalate with Israel
Iran is trying to buy time.
Everyone has read The Art of War by now.
Israel should unleash indiscriminate pain against all the nations that have kept their people living in anxiety day in and day out for the past 2000 years.

Israel should meet them halfway by replacing their pagers for free.

So we do they take out Hassan Nasrallah?

Nows the time for Israel to deal the death blow

The Ayatollah, the religious leader, has the power. But, I also understand are many younger Iranians want change and to not be under the thumb of the zealots.
Before any significant changes occur in Iran, the zealots would have to be overthrown.
While the President MAY be sympathetic to the people, the Ayatollah holds the power.

Agreed, but the zealots are the more violent ones (and the only ones permitted to have firearms are those loyal to the Ayatollah). Until the victimized are willing enough to become violent enough for long enough to depose the zealots and drive them out, the status quo will hold.

That’s what happens when your ambassador gets his dick blown off by a pager

I’m intrigued that this statement takes place after Israel blew the balls off most of the Hezbollah officers in Lebanon rather than, say, Israel taking out all the air defenses around their nuclear program in response to Iran’s dick-waving of trying to shoot bottle rockets at Israel across multiple countries. Sounds like they don’t want to find out what other devices that the Israelis have booby trapped.
fricking around is fun. The finding out not so much

Since WWII the Jews don't play when it comes to protecting themselves.
Having family sent to extermination camps by the Nazis had a polarizing effect on future generations.

Israel should simply make arrangements to have pagers sent to everyone in the Iranian government. Don't even bother with the prize inside....(a la CrackerJack)
That would be worth a worldwide laugh.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I'm not sure Nasrallah wants to be found by these Lebanese residents

I'm not Jewish and don't pretend to know what that experience or existence would be like.
I imagine it would force a worldview upon people that Israel possesses. A literal fight for survival when all around you are people who have sworn kill everyJew.
Many here don't consider this and accounts for some of the critical views of Israel. When your fighting for your life, for your existence, there's no room for mercy. Even more so when every attempt at mercy or leniency has been answered with more brutal attacks from the savages that surround you.
