I do and the old Golda adage still holds true. If Hamas were to give up all their prisoners today, the fighting would stop. They don't, ergo they don't want peace. If Hezbollah were to stop firing on Israel, Israel would stop pager-bombing them.

I'm not Jewish and don't pretend to know what that experience or existence would be like.
I imagine it would force a worldview upon people that Israel possesses. A literal fight for survival when all around you are people who have sworn kill everyJew.

Many here don't consider this and accounts for some of the critical views of Israel. When your fighting for your life, for your existence, there's no room for mercy. Even more so when every attempt at mercy or leniency has been answered with more brutal attacks from the savages that surround you.
