This is going to happen. Hopefully we're able to see where their missiles come from so we can immediately destroy that battery. It is a wack-a-mole kind of thing unfortunately.

On another note…I can laugh at California for completely refusing to build desalination plants while they struggle to keep up their fresh water supply. They refuse to modernize the state in any way. They want to keep it’s citizens in the stone ages.
ETA. Turns out they have plants. Largest and full sea water plant in San Diego went live in 2015. I take my lashings.

Desalienation plants are very expensive to install and maintain but with all the money they've raised from taxes and fees through the years, you'd think every seaside town would have one by now.

Things will get ugly in the Middle East real quick. I can see this escalating quickly.
Iran may try to do stuff here to us too. They have cyber warfare abilities to hack our stuff, especially in cooperation with china

They’ve built desalinization plants and are actively using them.

What's the saying???
"Turn about is fair play"
Considering Iran's water crisis, losing their own desalination plants would be a big deal!

If you’re gonna randomly inject California into a conversation, at least know what’s actively happening

Our military struck Iranian water facilities over a month ago.

If tweet fails to load, click here. i guess this happened because the usa had begun hitting iranian power plants. we will find out very quickly who can withstand these kind of attacks the best. my guess is iran. Posted on 7/17/26 at 8:38 am to texas tortilla

Why?
Iran is a fractured nation ethnically with horrendous geographic issues on top of that.
Prior to this conflict, it was held together pretty much by intimidation and violence.
They already have MAJOR water shortages. Throw in no power and things can get sideways quickly.

So this is like Rocky hits Drago and then Drago hits Paulie kind of stuff?

Thanks for the info and you are correct. Looks like the largest one in San Diego went live in 2015. Rest are small brackish plants. Last I heard they had issues getting the politicals to approve the construction but that was long ago I guess

Pretty much.

Maybe, but I doubt it. They probably have analyzed American voters enough to know that all opposition to an all out war on Iran would go away if they did that. There would be regime change in six months.
