Hard to smack someone with a gut full of buckshot. That's what you'd have if you tried.

Tucker has gone off the rails. I mean, when another country that has explicitly stated that America is the great satan, for decades, uses your podcast for its own propaganda...... yeah, you've gone way off the rails!

He’s been off the rails for a while now. Some of the stuff coming from right wing podcasters (Tucker, Fuentes, Candace) would make 1930s Germany proud.

" I have not leaned just on my own thinking but Catholic voices that I trust including my own parish priest. When I say this war has been universally condemned by them in that arena, I mean universally. Michael Knowles is the only notable name I have seen argue this qualifies as a just war. "

thanks for not caring, and showing it by posting how much you dont care on a public forum.

speaking of religious zealotry, you sure seem to be full of it.

I'd take a closer look at what your denomination has become and how far it has slid in its principles this century before I tout it as the bastion of all truth worthy of following their "condemnation". If I cared I'd start to point them out to you.

But you'd probably just talk to me about being in a cult........

Tucker left Fox to do his own channel so he no longer has any editorial limitations or oversight. He's unfiltered now and proves to be a Rand Paul type, which is fine, but a lot of that rhetoric sounds good in theory but is unrealistic as a matter of practical application.

Tucker Carlson said all of the same things about Iran, right along with Trump 2 years ago. Now he says the same exact things and is considered crazy.

Interesting.

You aren't following the conversation. Fun Bunch said you can't be anti-war, I laid out how you can be anti-war and why a lot of people are against this war. My "I don't care" was in relation to someone saying the war was just. That wasn't the argument. I don't care whether one person in particular supports the war or not. Neither of us really get a vote, my entire argument was against the idea that you couldn't be anti-war.

Catholic Just War Theory started with the Church Fathers, Saint Ambrose to begin and was then was heavily influenced by Augustine and Aquinas. I'm leaning on nearly 2,000 years of teaching to help guide my worldview.

You are attacking me for not believing this war is just. Im not sure why someone being against the war has some of you so angry.

The Tucker hatred is mind-boggling to me. He’s stated on MULTIPLE occasions for several years now how much he was flat out wrong in supporting the war in Iraq. He’s been extremely consistent on how we can never make that same mistake again. He’s very consistent on how ineffective and/or harmful regime change wars are. He campaigned for Trump. He’s pissed we haven’t questioned further the assassination attempts on our President’s life. He’s consistent on nobody deserves to be killed for their bloodline. He’s consistent on his feelings of Trump having the wrong people with wrong intentions in his ear. He’s consistent on how we benefit in no way from our money, equipment or service members poured into or on behalf of Israel. He doesn’t even say “Jew” in any derogatory manner. Has no ill will towards people of Jewish faith. This is about the ISRAELI GOVERNMENT. What a bunch of made up bull$hit to call him anti-Semitic. It’s just like all us white folks were racist for thinking all lives matter (none more than others) in 2020.

I feel like whatever happened to Tucker is going to be studied.

It isn't just Qatarlson. Look at some of the other "influencer" podcasters.

Megyn Kelly.
Hodge Twins.
Candace Owens.
Shawn Ryan.

They've ALL had some abrupt 180s in the last few months. And I don't think it's a coincidence. If it was just one of them, or maybe two, it would be different. But ALL of them? Something is afud.

Tuck was at his height when he got the Putin interview. He hasn’t been the same since.

Nah man. He basically laughed off the slaughter of Iranian protestors. Even if you’re against striking Iran, you can still can be objective about what’s happening. But he can’t because a free Iran is advantageous for Israel. It has nothing to do with being anti war.

I’m not angry. Apologize if I come across as such

I get the I don’t care. My bad I wasn’t following how you got there

And I’m not attacking you. I said in my original post to you that you have a perspective on the just war points. Fine. I can read all six of them and come to the exact opposite conclusion on all six. And I gave you examples.

I felt because it was your perspective, and you feel the church “supports” your perspective based on what you read, that you were speaking with a bit too much authority relative to a set of points that could easily be interpreted the other way. And are being so (based on Catholics I associate with)

Just like the Bible 2 people can read the same passage and come to much different conclusions
