Interesting twist in that drive through Burger King robbery

Evidently a worker shot and killed the young girl operating the drive thru when he was trying to target the robber. He had illegally owned handgun and is on the run.

Robber still needs to be charged with murder...if that happens in the commission of a crime, he needs to get those charges as well.

Changes a lot for me.
The cause of the whole disaster was the robber - for that he needs to be convicted and sentenced, substantially.
But the jerk off who shot an innocent co-worker to stop the theft of a hamburger is out of this world stupid and should be charged with reckless manslaughter.
No excuse for that - now if the perp was attacking the worker with a weapon that is totally different = but from a drive-in window he was not a physical risk. run outside and shoot out his tires.

In the Late 70's
my older brother and I would ride our bicycles to the Burger King on Sherwood near Harrell's Ferry Rd.and get burgers and fries. That's back when they had the conveyor belt screen that ran the beef patty through the flame broiler. Loved it back then. The chicken sandwich was great too when i came out in the 80's. Now it sucks.

No doubt the shooter held the gun sideways and did little for target acquisition other than turn away from the target and cringe in anticipation of the shot.

Shooter would be better off turning himself in. He isn’t being charged with manslaughter or murder (yet).
