I don't know.
The survival facility is intended to save the important personnel of the US Govt, US military and important US civilians (politically favored individuals, of course).
I am in favor of sealing them in there for eternity, if we survive. I'm sure that they will have their own security forces to protect the site, so, that might be difficult.

I wonder about updates to cabinet members not just taking their secretaries into the bunker and leaving the wife & family.
How many can go now? ALL of let's say Pelosi's family? What about retired congress and Presidents?
Obama changed the WH bunker. Obama also is the one that essentially made all of this known and opened one to the public. What public and when?

I never thought of that. In the case that they order the main door closed. Do they leave armed men out there to die?
Even any cameras would be inoperable. Who would they have sent out to get dogs to eat years ago? Would they send AD enlisted to get deer meat now? The meat would be tainted.

It never was a particularly well-kept secret. I think everyone in our family and all the folks up and around Greenbrier County in WV knew what that was from day one of construction of the facility. I recall going up to the Greenbrier when I was ten years old (1978) and Dad pointing out the air exchange vents and communications antennas that were not very well concealed along the property.
I sometimes wonder if maybe it was created and leaked in order to draw attention away from another, better protected, facility.

Yeah. makes sense. But I read over 50 years ago they were going to send the guards to get peoples dogs to eat after 30 days.

That's not how they sold its secrecy status in the tour. We were told that all the employees there were instructed to say that they were television repairmen.
It looked pretty concealed and hidden to me, but it would have to have been obvious to the observer that a new wing to the resort didn't need all that much concrete and massive blast doors

Initial thoughts on the bunkers make someone think the most brilliant scientists, biologists, doctors and so on. Would get first dibs.
Now it sounds like Bill Gates and tech people & friends of the Obama's on Martha's Vineyard are in like Flynn but no Flynn allowed.
The very people that we know have already bought billion dollar condo bunkers.

The super wealthy will live if they can buy a ticket from Elon Musk planets flight?
