Haha that's funny as hell.
Have 2 friends from Europe, one from Switzerland and one from Germany, they will often speak in Germanic when we get together but they always use our swear words.
I asked them one time why they did this and they both said "because English has the best swear words by far"

He's Vidnman 2.0. Buddy is more obsessed about his imaginary national pride than the reality of all out war. Ukrainians if anything are overly proud, but their pride doesn't seem to be grounded in any kind of factual history.

"frick", as blue as it is, is still one of the all time great English words. It's sheer utility proves this. Also, it's offspring, 'Motherfricker", is almost equally as adaptable. "shite" is very usable too. "Holy shite" is my go to when faced with any dangerous situation. Whether I'm involved or not.
