@SenJohnThune CONFIRMS:
-Individual mandate repeal will be added to tax bill in SFC.
-They have 50 votes on the floor.
-Passing Alexander-Murray alongside (not within the tax bill) is part of the deal.

More from THUNE: proceeds from mandate repeal directed to middle-class rate cuts.

Meh. It has to pass first. I'll applaud once it makes it to the President's desk for signing.

They must not think the tax bill would have passed as is. Not sure this changes that.

Nothing is going to get passed so no need to get excited.

Why is it dead? McCain never said he killed the other bill because of mandate

Agree but it's not part of the tax bill. They're passing it alongside it but seperate. So that means the house could vote for tax reform and vote against Alexander-Murray

What exactly do you think premiums have been doing?

Obamacare is nothing more than Medicaid expansion and all the current discussion covers is more handouts

Turning the tax reform fight into a health care fight is not smart.
