LINK

A startup claims it has launched weather balloons that may have released reflective sulfur particles in the stratosphere, potentially crossing a controversial barrier in the field of solar geoengineering.

Little is known about the real-world effect of such deliberate interventions at large scales, but they could have dangerous side effects.

Oh my… good time to be cooling the planet

So we can just go shoot shite into the atmosphere?

Glad we need 10 fricking years of studies to build a bridge.

We got MAJOR issues in the country, on the ground, and these progressive frickheads are trying the change the climate, in the sky!

The LEFT never ceases to amaze me with their stupidity.

There goes that whole " solar energy" thing.

You don't "scorch the sky" until after the machines go full solar...we aren't close yet.

Iseman says he pumped a few grams of sulfur dioxide into weather balloons and added what he estimated would be the right amount of helium to carry them into the stratosphere.
He only did it twice so far sounds like.

David Keith, one of the world’s leading experts on solar geoengineering, says that the amount of material in question—less than 10 grams of sulfur per flight—doesn’t represent any real environmental danger; a commercial flight can emit about 100 grams per minute,
Iseman is just making him some funny money...he's no more legit than SBF.

What makes you think they're leftists?

And your entire line of thinking is infantile

Michael Crichton predicted this would happen.

No, not this specifically, but he foresaw the cult of climate change and how the faithful would stop at nothing to justify saving Gaia.

Besides, their intentions are in the right place.

Also, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

The planet is actually at the beginning of a cooling cycle. How convenient, they will be able to claim victory at some point.

So now commercial flights around the world putting out massive amounts of sulfur dioxide can prevent climate change?

Yeah...I would agree there is a bit of mixed messaging going on.
