It’s the stupid ranking vote system in Alaska
RCV has nothing to do with Murkowski being elected.
2022 was her only election under the ranked choice format, and she would have won under the old plurality rules too.
ETA: RCV has not changed the outcome in a single election in Alaska from what the result would have been under the old plurality rules.

FYI, the SAVE Act does not require an ID to vote. It would require an ID to register to vote in federal elections.
Doesn't sound great to me then.
Here in Florida we show our ID when we vote.

Rand Paul is also a no vote, along with the usual cast of DC RINOs.
If you think Rand Paul is a RINO, then you don't know what the frick a RINO is.

She’s right from a constitutional perspective
She may not be.
How about voting for it and if it is unconstitutional the Judicial Branch can check it?

She could vote Yay 7 times and it still wouldn't pass the Senate.

She's jyst one more example of what the problem is. She's compromised and part of the corrupt system.
Funny how 80% of AMERICAN CITIZENS favor Voter ID, but too many of our crooked officials don't care what we want.

Louisiana and Georgia too. Most if not all red states.
Oh look, its always the states with no voter ID with suspect elections:

The federal gov already has that power and it was given by the founding fathers.
You must be a US citizen to vote. Period.
This does not change anything. It enforces it.
Ok, where in the constitution does it say that?

Big difference, but one that liberals are incapable of comprehending.
Daniel Goldman was grandstanding about how if you have lost your passport or your birth certificate, those mean ol' Republicans don't want you to vote.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I would argue that if you have lost both your birth certificate & US Passport, AND don't possess a valid photo ID (for which you should've proven citizenship to obtain), then you are not a serious adult and cannot likely be entrusted with voting privileges.

Yep, it just makes sense and there isn't any valid reason for any state to not have it, other than they want insecure elections so they can cheat.
But as a resident of Florida, I'm also pretty weary of letting the federal government get involved. We aren't one of the fricked up states, federal control is not needed or wanted.
These states that do not have it and are allowing illegals to vote are the ones that should be held accountable.

I'll never forget that picture of Murkowski and Feinstein. Why was she cowering before a Democrat? Why would Feinstein have had any influence over her?
That photo speaks volumes about the reality of Washington.

Voter ID is smart policy, but it has to be done by states.
Means blue states will continue to help non-citizens and dead people vote.
Don't forget the phantoms who vote.

It's already on the front page, rocket surgeon. Chapter and verse from the Constitution of the United States regarding federal modification of voting qualifications.

You cited something completely different than what the other person said. He said being a US citizen was already a requirement. I'm asking where.

What about the Voting Rights Bill? The Democrats had no problem passing that and limiting it to the South.

A higher percentage of Republicans voted for the VRA than Democrats. Though Congress was dominated by the Democrats throughout the 60's so there were numerically more Democrat yay votes.
