In 2024, the EU imported a record 16.5 million metric tons of LNG from Russia, surpassing the 15.2 million in 2023.

Everyone forgets its the simplest things in life that control everything.
Control any of these and you control populations. What I mean by this is that the EU was never going to stop buying LNG from Russia, they need it.

Do people really not realize this is why DC want's to fight Russia?
They are being lobbied by our energy companies to compete for European energy markets. Russian O&G is cheap AF. They are hard to compete with.

'They' are also being lobbied by another industry - suppliers of military products and services. Energy companies want to export energy. Military providers want to export war.
And those being lobbied to want another beach house.

Also it is really difficult to believe that people are this stupid.
Russia sales gas via a that pipeline. To stop the flow all they have to do is close a valve. But instead of that some stupid people believed that Russia blew up the pipeline instead of closing a valve.
AND to add insult to injury, the USA said they were going to do it. Yet the brainless zombies were like "I don't know.... duh, the Russians probably did it."

It was never going to be sold in enough volume for them to completely stop purchasing.

On the way to work this morning I listened to Tucker's interview with Viktor Orban.
Tucker was talking about the US blowing up the pipeline, cutting off Germany's suppl of gas.. The Number 1 nation in NATO cutting off the gas supply of the Number 2 nation in NATO.. and nobody said a word?!

Umm…no. The Biden Administration stopped approve NEW LNG export permits, which I wholeheartedly agree was stupid and recklessly political.
However, the U.S. still exported 40 Million metric tons+ of LNG to Europe in 2024.
