I had exactly that happen once. I went back into my boss's office and yelled at him to stop being a chickenshit SOB and he took it back. I quit shortly after.
Also we had plenty of tension leading up to that. I knew it was coming.
Suck it up and move on. I was pretty small time with no book deals or TV deals incoming. Milley can make millions despite being a traitor out of book and TV.

I hope this firing includes stripping his clearances, because that'll cost him a lot in his future endeavors.
Lots of people need to not have "insider" info to spout on TV.
