That’s a silly reason to go to war.

Bingo. We cant have another Kim Jong in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia has said if Iran gets a nuc., they will be getting one. That will destabilize the entire region.
We cant allow that to happen. Iran has shown it has long range missiles which can hit the UK. They must be stopped. 8 Arabic countries are backing Trump. Russia and China backed away from Iran.

They can't have a nuke. If they got close enough, Israel will be forced to nuke them first. That's primary.
Secondary is this gives us massive leverage on China. We finish this up with us in control of the straits and a new government in Iran and China who's fangs will be pulled for a long time. Or till Democrats get power again.

You have been told many different reason. Why? Because there are many different reasons.
If you demand one reason, you are demanding that you are to be lied to. There isn't ONE reason.
Do you think any sane person doesn't want Iran's IRGC that rapes an murders its citizens every day to be overthrown?
Do you not think that when Iran is enriching Uranium way past the point that it is need for a nuclear reactor that they aren't working towards a nuclear bomb?
Do you not care that Iran was steadily stockpiling more and more missiles?
Do you not care that they were making steady progress towards ICBM's that could hit us in the future if they were not stopped?
Do you not want to limit China half price oil supplier? All China's influence outside of its region to continue to grow?
Do you not understand how losing the petrodollar would not just hurt but would truly be life changing in a bad way for the people of the USA?
Take your pick... sort them however you like. These are the reasons that we have been repeatedly told are the reasons.
