I'm proud and happy that this land, America, was conquered by European explorers

I’m happy that this land was conquered. It is an immeasurably better place now than it would have been had Europeans never showed up. I’m proud of our history and grateful. I will never apologize for it. I will celebrate our heroes and laugh in your face when your cry about it.

None of you would want to actually live in the primitive cultures you idolize. None of you. You prefer our civilization even as you whine about it. You feast on the bounty while denigrating the men who provided it to you. You’re ungrateful, despicable brats. The lowest of the low

I'll also add that the Europeans were morally correct and righteously just to put down the barbaric tribes that once occupied this land, those tribes that had even worse slavery and torture practices that the left decries western civilization and white people for.

When the Europeans set about on a task to civilize and tame those barbaric and cruel people, it was one of the most important events in human history and we are all better for it today.

Posting on iPhones complaining about oppression and unfairness while in line at Starbucks is peak liberal logic .

It doesn’t even matter. There is no room for discussion of the morality of long ago history. Such discussions get bogged down and go nowhere.
What matters is where we are now, and this Matt Walsh fellow is correct. We have the most comfortable lives in human history.

I hope they reeeeee their hearts out when Christopher Columbus is rightly identified as the hero he really is.

The hero that planted the seeds of 1st world civilization we live in today. First world civilization with amazing technology and an unbelievable and heavenly standard of living that was reserved for the oligarchy and elites for the vast majority of human history, if it was available to them at all.

I was gonna say that this continent would look like Africa had it not been for Europeans, but then, some our inner cities already do look like Mogadishu and Lagos

The ridiculous mindset that this was a native utopia before the Europeans of the 15th century is ignorant.

First off, Europeans and Africans as well as Asians had been here for centuries prior.
Second, a group of "historians" and leftists has sold the majority on the idea that natives rarely killed each other in battle. Complete farce as archeologist have proven. native tribes were no more or less violent than any other culture. When given the opportunity to dominate another tribe they did.

Europeans were simply further advanced in weaponry and tactics - end of story. Once tribes saw the advancement they traded for it and attacked their neighbors or joined forces with Europeans.

What happen in the Western hemisphere mirrored what happened in Europe decades before and and up to the 1700s. The Scottish Highland Clans were decimated by superior tactics over time as were the Irish by the English.

How can you be proud of something you had no part in? That took place centuries ago?

Idiot.

Yep, it seems like everyone wants to migrate to European countries or where they have conquered. Must have done something right.

What's it like being a loser that has to play semantics games to make what you think is a gotcha to avoid discussing the subject matter herein?

If you really want to avoid talking about it, you could just not post in this thread at all?

I sort of agree. It makes about as much sense as having any shame about it or otherwise lamenting it in any way, shape, or fashion.

Although, I think I have some gratitude that it all went down as it did. We all basically owe our existence to it in one way or another.

Dontcha think?

Fine, but by that logic I, as a white male, should not bear any responsibility for slavery, which happened over a century ago

Exactly.

I'm not going to judge people of the past by modern rules.
That's why I don't retroactively condemn the Confederacy.

Well the fricking Indians weren’t doing shite with all these resources. They evolved like Africans. Not at all. Without Europeans in a thousand years the Indians would be doing the same shite on a different day.
