I’m pretty sure this is the plan for Elon to transition out of DOGE

He sacrificed a lot for DOGE and he was getting hammered from every direction.
After this public “spat” everyone instantly is good with him again because of their hate for Trump. He can go back to running billion dollar business and not take market hits due to media attacks.

When Elon realized he wasn’t getting what he wanted out of the relationship, he may have just decided to go on all in distancing himself from Trump to try and save a floundering Tesla.

I doubt the Democrats will come running back since Musk's problem isn't "We can't cut these programs!" but "We should be cutting ten times as much...except for my shite!"

It’s true, he’s been upset that people hate him. He wants to be loved. I suspect that’s why he’s been on a drug binge, and he’s likely over exaggerating this public fight to try and win people over again
