Illegal campaign contribution?? Facebook giving BHO data nobody else could access?

Heard this on Rush's show today that Facebook gave the DNC (or Obama's reelection group) access to all of their data on their system to let BHO do their data mining activity to target voting blocs.
It seems to me that data would be worth millions = especially if only the BHO group had access to it.
Could this count as an illegal campaign contribution if not declared?
just wondering.
DOn't even know if it is true - just got in from my road trip and heard Rush talking about the info - but he didn't address the campaign contribution slant.

If true, it would be considered an “in kind” contribution worth millions if not more.

Always thought that Facebook was the mouthpiece for the DNC anyway.......unofficially of course

I love it when conservatives whine about the stupidest shite. One of the founders of Facebook worked for the Obama campaign. Here's a novel idea...maybe if your party would run someone who's not a race baiter who surround himself with anti gay bigots, they could also receive assistance from these millennial geniuses. Because at this moment, it's failing horribly.

Funny how up until Trump ran for office he was NEVER considered a bigot or anti-gay.
Gee I wonder why that is
Oh and BTW he STILL IS YOUR PRESIDENT!

The demoncats are the king of race baiting and a former obama campaign director sez the facebook stuff is true.

You mean this guy? The one taking the Presidential Oath of Office instead of Hillary?

is that why we have a Republican President and you Libtards are scrambling to elect any and all Democratic to any position available?

Pretty sad you had all the millennial geniuses and still lost.

Are you proud your side stole shite? Because that's what happened here.

unfounded, untrue, pure propaganda. Its exactly what you communists scream every time you lose yet another argument
the only failure in this thread is your existence

Proof of this outrageous claim. Even your boy Barry said Elections cannot be hacked or manipulated.

When your party loses more the 1100 seats nationwide in federal, state, and local levels nobody stole anything.

You really are crazy. Libs are something else.

By using six fake Facebook accounts in Russia. Let that sink in.

This from a democrat.
This is why no one takes you seriously and everyone laughs at you.

Ex-Obama Campaign Director Drops Bombshell Claim on Facebook: 'They Were on Our Side'
quote:
A former Obama campaign official is claiming that Facebook knowingly allowed them to mine massive amounts of Facebook data — more than they would’ve allowed someone else to do — because they were supportive of the campaign.
In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidsen, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama for America, said the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. They would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.
quote:
That’s because the more than 1 million Obama backers who signed up for the [Facebook-based app] gave the campaign permission to look at their Facebook friend lists. In an instant, the campaign had a way to see the hidden young voters. Roughly 85% of those without a listed phone number could be found in the uploaded friend lists. What’s more, Facebook offered an ideal way to reach them. “People don’t trust campaigns. They don’t even trust media organizations,” says Goff. “Who do they trust? Their friends.”
The campaign called this effort targeted sharing. And in those final weeks of the campaign, the team blitzed the supporters who had signed up for the app with requests to share specific online content with specific friends simply by clicking a button. More than 600,000 supporters followed through with more than 5 million contacts, asking their friends to register to vote, give money, vote or look at a video designed to change their mind. A geek squad in Chicago created models from vast data sets to find the best approaches for each potential voter. “We are not just sending you a banner ad,” explains Dan Wagner, the Obama campaign’s 29-year-old head of analytics, who helped oversee the project. “We are giving you relevant information from your friends.”

That's two election cycles in a row. And Facebook's still not being being fully forthcoming about the most recent cycle. I don't think we can trust these guys to regulate themselves.
