If these people are working from home why would they need to come in. Just open the computer send a 5 minute email and back to your day off.
This should be very simple for the high level people to do and if they are good team managers they should be able to understand who is out and who isn’t and be able to speak to what they are working on with decent accuracy.

I cannot describe in words the admiration I feel for this post - I wish I'd thought of it first,
you have nailed the VERY REASON FOR OUR EXISTENCE as free and productive AMERiCANs.
I truly feel sorry for this mass of humanity that has been so disconnected from the real basis of American Culture that they actually feel they are OPPRESSED by the mere suggestion they join us.
Their only 'satisfaction' comes from the idiotic and corrupt converse ideology that wants to subjugate the majority of the population into compliant sub-human 'workers' - akin to ants in an ant-hill - with no individual freedom or aspiration for progress.
Of course they all think that should such a UTOPIA come to pass that THEY will be amongst those giving the directions and from whom their opinions will be sought. They don't realize that should such a ''utopia" come to pass that THEY will be amongst the lowly turd rollers doing just what they are told if they want to live another day.
The natural advantages of a free and independent population working together for the common good escape their understanding. Or they are jealous they cannot compete in such a society.

I'd just ignore the email honestly.
I would bet a significant driving force of this initiative is to weed out the people with exactly this attitude. The ones who weren’t going to take their “resistance” to protest in the streets, or even scream cry about it on social media, but instead planned to “quietly resist” and just ignore any directive they disagreed with.

Why would not want the opportunity to email a higher up directly and tell them what you've accomplished over the past week?
Who is the higher up in this question?

The consultant that the highest boss in the land chose. So therefore the president

Indeed.
Work ethic and personal responsibility are at all time lows. Entitlement runs rampant.
My first supervisory job I was given this advice by the owner. Hire three, fire two, repeat... until you get excellence.

Look alerting the people is not difficult and neither is sending an email as an employee if you have access to your email. I’m just saying this could have easily been done during the previous week explaining the expectations w/o needing to do the weekend emergency call list. There will be people who will not have access to their govt email for very legitimate reasons.

And if you want to squeal that Elon is unelected I’d argue he and almost anyone in this admin wasn’t unelected. As for the first time I can remember Trump was extremely transparent in who would be in his admin and Elon specifically had this role. So it was essentially on the ballot. Unlike those before him

There's definitely going to be multiple layers of validation. They just want the employees own words for better or worse for a starting point.
Partially correct...just not by people.
These emails will first be vetted with AI. Didn't send it - that individual will be dropped into a bucket for review. Were they sick, in an accident- or did they just decide no to report on their accomplishments.
Even those who report will be summarized and categized. Absolutely, these will be used for review and decision on who to target.
The ones I will be interested in the most, will be user reports, wordsmithed by AI, then flagged by AI as being generated by AI.
It would make me LMAO.

And those people will be fine. Only the left and its mass media retards think someone on PTO is being fired for not sending a email.
Those that are working and chose to ignore will get fired and I’m sure cbs and others will claim they were away. Which will then be revealed to not be true. The media keeps this up but doesn’t realize we can all see their distorted truth.

The quick turnaround with threat of termination takes this thing to a complete other level. If this email was sent on the previous Monday instructing employees to provide an update of this week’s by COB this coming Monday then obviously there would still be complaints but at least people will have time to adjust and there will be time for guidance to be given.

Everyone this applies to probably has email on their phone.
Doubtful. Why would people who only have to work 40 hours a week want work emails on their phones?

That was literally Elon’s tweet. It wasn’t mass media.

Because some people take pride in their work and like to know if anything is developing.

Completely agree with you. My comment was meant to illustrate that high performing workers feel no anxiety about this task because they know everyone already knows what they do and how they perform.
