Posted on 9/17/25 at 9:41 am to Covingtontiger77
Zero, bc our world elites hadn’t figured out the payoff/upside this level of retardedness would bring them

when I was in school in the 70s there were one or two effeminate males that were suspected as gay but no one was openly gay much less the crap that's going on now

I knew a boy named Ira who was effeminate... and a clown. Hilarious dude.
A girl named Beebee who was a heck of a tomboy and I swear she lived in the trees. Awesome friend.
That's it.

90s for me... there was a small handful of kids who we all knew or highly suspected of being gay. As far as I know only one of them did end up transitioning in adult life. Another overdosed on heroin which imo also supports the mental illness theory.
P.S. there's a funny story behind the tranny. My wife is very jealous. When we were dating, she came to me one day and was like, "who is this Jane girl and why does she like everything you post on FB?" In my best StateFarm voice I responded, "uhh, that's a dude and his real name is John."
ETA: another one of the gay guys committed suicide in high school. I forgot about him.

Graduated in 1997.
There were a handful of guys that were suspected of being "fancy." I don't recall any bull-dyke lesbian types. If there were any lesbians at my school they looked like normal people.
I remember one dude who wore makeup and said that for his graduation present his parents were paying for the operation. After graduation I saw it only once more walking around LSU....just looked like an ugly dude in a dress so I don't know if it went through with the whole shebang or not.
He was pretty much considered a freak and was the only one I remember that was like that.

i graduated HS in 1999. i knew of three gay dudes in my large Houston public school. two were flag twirlers (the flaggots, we called them). one played soccer (huge shock there). one openly gay lesbo
no troons.
ETA - just remembered - there was one guy i knew in middle and high school who ended up claiming to be a transgender later in life, like post college. dude was always weird as shite, so it wasnt all that surprising.

I graduated high school in 2012 in Louisiana and never saw anything close to it in school or in local society.

I knew a few. You knew some. You probably didn’t classify them as having gender dysphoria.
The flower girl in my wedding had gender dysphoria. She claimed from the time she was 4 until she was about 8 that she wanted to be a man.
Now she’s a very feminine woman, married with children.

Zero. Gay or not gay. That’s it.
And the gays took female friends to prom.

Born in 88, so I went through school in the 90s through the early 2010s. Even then it wasn’t a thing as far as I know.
I did go to private school, so maybe that helped. But during my era just being gay (looking at you Jesuit Nola grads) was the most controversial thing I recall.

gender dysphoria
Is that a fancy name for when we crossed streams in the pee trough or played piss hockey with the puck?
