I could be wrong here, but I thought last draft during Vietnam, they started at 18yo, then went up in age 19, 20 etc. I thought someone who was say 26 was less likely to be drafted than someone younger.. Does anyone know/remember?

I know more about SSS than I care to. Worked with and supported SSS (small govt agency….budget about $25MM, maybe more now) for a brief time while on the Reserve side.
For general conscription, ages 18-25.
Now, they would start at 20 then go to 25, then back to 19 then 18.
Vietnam was not like that…they changed it as a lesson learned.
SSS is in the Stone Age technologically and woefully unprepared to fulfill its mission.
During the great “Pandemic”….there was never any mention of HCPDS …. Health Care Personnel Delivery System, which is basically a draft of medical personnel that can go as high as age 55 or higher in special circumstances. Not one peep.
My sons will not serve in the military, and I am not worried at all about a draft. The line stopped with me. One of the last straws was when I had to fly to DC for the sole purpose of in-person “Transgender Sensitivity Training” in the latter Obama years.
I did not leave them. They left me. My Oath still stands.
Go to SSS.gov for more info.

A draft cannot work in modern American society. Neither the left nor the right would support it.
Even if the Feds did try and force the issue, they would find the draftees to be worthless, weak, and unwilling to fight. Add in the massive protests around the nation (including serious violence), and the draft would come to an abrupt end.
Collapse of the Federal Government is more likely than a draft at this point.
If a direct war is fought with Russia it will be a nuclear war.
Not much matters after that.

My kids will never fight in this bullshite war. The 48% who supposedly support this nonsense can send their kids to this 3rd world shithole to get blasted. I’m looking for an excuse to get a place in Costa Rica as it is.
