If you had to define the term "woke", how would you put it?

The consensus on Reddit is if/when a conservative is approached with this question, they're left with a dumb look on their face.
They also fail to provide an example of "wokeism".

"A mental illness that divides people into different levels of two groups, oppressors and oppressed, based off of skin color, political views, and perceived grievances."

Woke- The point in time where you wake up to the shite being spewed by the government.

Seeing everything through a racial lens that assumes black and brown people are always the oppressed and white people always are the oppressors.

A broad term to encompass the rise and mainstreaming of obscure grievance critical theory concepts (fat studies, CRT, queer studies, etc.) which has coincided with a rise in the felt impacts of these things in everyday life (corporate/academic DEI, government backing of the trans movement).

Woke - We are kangs and quanes. White people are the enemy, and everything is racist.
Posted on 4/3/24 at 1:03 pm to finchmeister08
Completely departed from previously existing mainstream morals, norms, and values.

the cult like adherence to leftist orthodoxy.

The point is conservatives are stereotyped
Then you reaffirm the stereotype
Good job by you
The man asked a good questions because there
has been some dumbfounded "patriots"
stumped by the question
Its like Fake news the term is a lazy out now

I define “woke” as being asleep to reality.,

I'd say that it's generally well-off white people from predominantly white areas pretending to save minorities while also voting people into office who push policies that are harmful to minorities.

Fake news is, simply put, a story which presents opinion as fact.
Case in point, Dan Rather, after his "CYA Memo" regarding George W. Bush was proven to be a forgery, continued to push his narrative as if it was a fact.

Woke - The idea that there are many people (people of color, LGBTQ whatevers, fat people, etc) who are being mistreated by society and have been given a raw deal by established systems, including government, corporate, educational. These people have "woken up" and realized that all these aforementioned people have been treated woefully unfairly and things need to be done to help them. They also have a "soft" attitude about things and believe that we are way too hard on people and that things like safe spaces and mental health days should be regularly available to students and workers. They believe that so many people are just taken advantage of in everyday life.

this was a definition (pulled from wikipedia) and example i recently gave:
this was a reply:

Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights.
It basically points out anything within an act, object, etc. that could be / might be racist or sexist.
For example, someone could say, "the act of a white man eating a breakfast cereal is racist because people of color are too poor to afford breakfast cereal. Therefore, we should ban breakfast cereal."
That's what "wokeism" does.

This is how you would write when you didn't understand what the term is or what its being used for.
You are likely a picture perfect conservative in your demographics, judging by this post and your post history.
Your questionable rebuttles in r/ShermanPosting are especially telling about your likely positions on racism and slavery. I bet you have a lot to say about which lives matter.

Person using it has a low IQ and can not generate an original thought in their head.

Woke is a dismissal of reality to force a planned social/political reality into "understood" existence. Those who buy in are considered intellectuals. Those who do not are ostracized.
Examples... gender as an psychological construct, race swapping popular and sometimes historical figures, historical fantasies like the 1619 project, projecting macho male stereotypes onto females as a rule while feminizing men in popular culture, race quotas, minority grievance copes like white privilege, the patriarchy and white supremacy, corporate DEI...
In short, Reddit is a hive of moronic communists that, as usual, don't know their collective head from their front-hole.
