If you are interested, the race for the Mississippi flag has been dwindled down to 147

from thousands of submissions. The next round, each of the nine committee members will select 10. Then the committee will vote to get it down to five. From there, there will be a time of public input, and one will be selected for a YES/NO on the ballot in November.

Stennis was a segregationist. I always chuckled at my woke Mississippi friends that had Stennis flag car tags and bumper stickers. They’re supporting the flag created by the granddaughter of a known racist. They’d never knowingly do that, showing just how shallow they really are in reality.

I’d prefer Colonel Sanders with a bucket of fried chicken on the flag. It keeps the southern heritage, it keeps the state colors, and it’s still borderline controversial. What more can you ask for?
