A few months ago (late October), Chevron acquired Hess for $53 Billion, whose largest asset was it’s interest in Guyana. Chevron joins Exxon and the China Oil Company in developing and producing the massive (6 million offshore acres) Guyana Offshore Oil field which is the largest global oil discovery in the last 10 years. Guyana is Not a member of OPEC.

Since Guyana is a Western Hemisphere country with good relations with the USA, since we don’t want China’s current 25% share to get any larger, and since this project & country are of strategic and economic importance to the USA, the USA will get involved and support Guyanan sovereignty. BTW, Venezuela has close relations with Russia, Cuba and China.

The USA will act on our National interests and invoke a 2 century Cornerstone of American foreign policy: The Monroe Doctrine and the Roosevelt Corollary to this doctrine.

One, although Vene has the largest oil reserves in the world, I think they have reached the point where they cant even produce enough gas to make it to the nearest 7-11 much less an invasion

Two, I love the pics of their tanks "amassed" at the border. You cant get there from here my friends, its 150 miles of rainforest making the Darien Gap look like Pebble Beach. They have to drive south over a hundred miles through Brazil and then hang a right and drive north 150 miles to get to any civilization in Guyana. Hence the reason Brazil said, hold my beer we got this.

Three, the last time there was a similar dustup several years ago I waited for hours for someone flying from ABC (Aruba Bonnaire Curacao) which sits a stones throw from Caracas. I asked her what took so long and she said F-16s were doing flights over Caracas daring fat boy to start something.

Four, guarantee Iran is behind this, they have done manuevers with Vene, etc. they just want to stretch us a little more globally. Someone needs to send those clowns a home delivery to stop this proxy nonsense.

Chevron joins Exxon

The two of them could privately fund a bunch of mercs that would wipe out Venezuela before they made it to the border.

The USA will without a doubt get involved. Exxon will make sure of it.

Brazil would squash it with quickness. The CCP oil companies also have an interest in Guyanese oil production. If there's one things communists don't like, it's other communists taking their shite. Nothing is going to happen.
