He overestimates his abilities. Dunning Kruger

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities. It was first described by Justin Kruger and David Dunning in 1999. Some researchers also include the opposite effect for high performers: their tendency to underestimate their skills.

100% yes. What I'm saying is that when faced between a choice between the "rules" (i.e., first principles) they themselves defined 8-10 years ago versus their enjoyment of the narrative storytelling process, they will choose the latter.
Rules will be broken if it means they get to stay at the party for a little bit longer, because the party makes them feel good. Sure, some people may leave, but the folks who stay will simply shift to more of an after hours vibe. Now, when does the party end? Could go on for a while.
OK I probably extended the party metaphor too far.

With respect, I think SFP asked a really good question. The insecure people are the ones attacking him because they didn't understand it.

SFP has massive communication problems, and constantly shifts his narrative so he's not "wrong."
Its a fairly well established pattern. He struggles with social cues.

I didn't. I can prove it. I'll bump your old thread with pertinent questions.
Will you answer them or run away?

And presented with evidence he did, simply locks down on the lie.
Wrong, again. I can prove it. Will you answer questions this time?

Yes. As was stated earlier (not by me)
quote:
The mind absolutely can be convinced to believe anything if the message is consistent enough. Long ago, those that desired power realized that you dont obtain power by running for office on policies, you do so by controlling people's minds.
Echo chambers and reinforced in/out group dynamics creates quite the combination when it comes to this. That becomes their reality/existence (just like cults).
I was more saying for those who realize it was a ruse, it is difficult to leave even then, because it's quite embarrassing to admit you fell in with such obvious silliness.
Nobody likes to look silly.

From what I know it takes other people armed with a counter narrative. People may leave cults on their own, but it is their close personal relationships that rebuilds their psyche and reforms them into healthy human beings capable to rejoining society. Without that reformation process, it is off to the pit of despair with no worldview to anchor their mind to the experience of reality. In the worst cases, they will even lose their sense of self and commit acts of self-harm.

No, SFP is being attacked because he is a lying sack of sh*+ whose stock in trade is prevarication and dissembling. SFP thus routinely indulges the very sins in which he so readily accuses others. So in addition to being a disingenuous troll, he is hypocrite of the highest order.

I can’t offhand recall other cults who largely and vehemently disagreed with the cult leader like MAGA supporters did with DJT over Covid vaccines.
Do you have some other examples you can think of where the cult very vocally disagreed with the cult leader over a major topic at the time?
Seems rather un-cult-like….but I’m sure you have other similar examples since you seem most assured of the cult dynamic.

Ad homs are so boring. SFP asked an interesting question. Do you have thoughts or do you just want to talk shite because you don't like lawyers?

These people shifted the vaccine focus onto Biden's policies to avoid that issue.
Also, Trump's vaccines were promoted on here bigly when they were being developed. Operation Warp Speed, and what not.

Youre making untrue blanket statements. Fauci has always been the enemy of MAGA here.
In YOUR thread about this secret cabal, you completely fricked it up again.

He tries to derail threads I'm in and even will meltdown and bump old threads where he claims victories b/c I ask him simple questions to defend his positions/strawman and he refuses, so I leave. He bumped 3 such threads last night, in fact.
He's referencing one, ITT, and I just gave him another opportunity to defend his position by finally answering my questions. This way he could stop trying to derail my thread and finally continue the other threads. But he has not, as of this post, agreed to finally answer my questions.

Listen you lying sack-of-sh*+, NO amount of “pertinent” questions changes the fact you came out in support of the lockdowns in New Orleans after the fact even though you claimed you didn’t. The time/date stamps on your own posts are the final arbiter on that point.
But bump away as I enjoy seeing you bring attention to instances of your own dissembling! You will simply deny you said what you said!
