Or do the Dems triple down on it? If not what direction do they go after Trump forms a new populist party?

Not even close. Until the social media generation understands they celebrities and athletes are morons and communism and socialism go hand in hand. They've already been indoctrinated good and hard.

no.

It never dies.

The left never retreats.

They will throw bodies at the guns and cannon and keep gaining millimeters.

They will be defeated, will finally give up. They’ll settle into nice jobs provided by Trump and leave their socialist dreams to die.

You won't be able to imagine how much stronger it will be.

Unfortunately, this is here to stay until a breaking point is reached; whatever that may be.

No we bought 4 years and the fight starts over. Ocasio-Cortez will be around along with the others to pick up the fight when Bernie fades away. It will be an ongoing struggle.

No, but we can set them back decades with a landslide like in 84.

Trump needs to become the dictator they proclaim he is and get rid of these people with extreme prejudice. He has only about 3 years to effectively do it too. The next president won’t be so strong IF it’s a Republican

That depends entirely on how you define socialism. To what extent are you referring to it as an economic system or as a political system? True, the two are intertwined but I would guess you are talking about ideology as opposed to command economy.

I'm going to argue that as long as there is a sustained measured of success in capitalism there will be some who argue about the merits of a contradictory system if they feel they are not participants in the process.
