no. it will crash the economies of every border state, and the entire construction sector, if the southern border is shut down. thats why texas hasn't done anything about it yet either.

LINK i am not sure about the numbers here but there is something to this tweet. there are people making a lot of money off these illegals. both R and D. yet nobody is talking about how much we spend each month supporting these illegals. the system will crash soon enough yet the first question in the ted cruz debate was about abortion.

Lots of moving parts here.

Put back in the EOs that Trump had in place.

Triple the number of assigned judges for asylum cases and streamline the process to decrease the backlog of outstanding cases rapidly.

End the flight programs,

Shut off the asylum app and require all asylum claims to happen at authorized points of entry.

Those steps are all "Day 1" processes.

Then start attacking the Sanctuary city/state process. No more federal law enforcement allocations to any state that does not show the expected cooperation with federal law enforcement agencies. That is standard language in all federal-to-state funding bills. Shut it off.

It is the same argument for those who are using federal Medicare and Medicare funds for the healthcare of illegal aliens.

Once the state level problems are being sorted, then start with the wholesale removal of violent criminals and gang members. First thing would be setting up a dedicated review process for those extreme cases (murderers, multiple felons, etc) and then start the process to hunt them down and remove them.

As that starts to gain traction in the news, offer any illegal immigrants the option to restart their own process, but only if they do it the correct way by a port of entry coming in from the Mexico side. In effect self deport and start the process the right way. If they do not, anyone that is caught from there on out will have a 10 year hold on being able to enter the country for any reason (no tourist visa, no medical visa, no work visa). Give everyone in the US a 3 or 6 month warning before it comes into effect and watch how many who leave on their own.

Then go after the NGOs and wire transfer companies.

Once all of that is over with. Then publicly start hearings on the various companies that employ illegal immigrants in mass and how they are bypassing federal law to do so. Don't focus on the workers but the NGOs and companies instead.

That would be a start, but it would take years to really complete a full removal. This just stops the flow in and allows time for the process to stabilize and come up with a way to begin to solve the integration problem.

The difference is that when law enforcement gets their hands on an illegal immigrant, they will turn them over to ICE, who will look for a reason to deport them. Currently, they are not turning them over to ICE and when they do, they are finding reasons to allow them to stay.

I think he will stop the flow and roundup as many as he can to deport.

Trump will make a few high profile deportations, but it will not amount to much. He won’t reduce the illegal immigration much, because the Biden Administration already did to try to defuse it as an election issue. Where Trump will make a gigantic difference is two ares:

1. Building a wall so that we can get control of illegal immigration in four or five years.
2. Not letting illegal immigration ramp back up, which is what would happen if Kamala won.

He'll stop the flow and get rid of some bad apples, but what Biden and Harris have done has irreparably shaped this country's future forever.

If he doesn’t he’s a traitor. They have to go back. There is no compromise. Go back. By extreme force if necessary.
