What other candidate would protect Christians? Trump. VPs don't matter.

Who would they vote for instead? The party of baby killers?

I don't think he could fake Trump's agenda his establishment would come out. He wouldn't get moderates because of his social issues. Bottom-line there is no way Pence could survive the dem and media onslaught of attack-- he is a goody two shoes.

If he picked Haley he might lose South Carolina. He should stick to the one he brought to the dance, Pence.

After Haley used the political capital of the Charleston shooting, to remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse she has proven herself untrustworthy.

As long as he is running against this current field of Democrats, no.

Signed, an Evangelical Christian

2024 is Pence vs Hailey vs Cruz (maybe)

Hailey would be odds on favorite especially with SC early on in primary

Trump could shoot someone in Charleston (say Gowdy) and still not lose SC

Depends on who he replaced him with. Pence isn't some evangelical hero after selling out as the governor of Indiana.

You keep Pence, imo. He has been loyal and done a good job. I am sure he doesn't agree with Trump's Twitter style but he's kept his mouth shut.

This is an interesting discussion. Pence has been invisible for about a year. I’m not sure he brings any excitement to the ticket. On the other hand, Trump likely would recoil against anyone in the second chair that was actually exciting. He can’t handle competition for attention. My guess is that Pence, due to his invisibility, is exactly who Trump wants.

Pence is a perfect VP. Steady, rock solid conservative, doesn’t try to be the hero, and good ties to the base and congress

Seems to get along with Trump and has been rock steady in an administration with a lot of turnover

Stupid hypothetical because there's a 0% chance of it happening.

The shirts have already been printed. Literally.

Why would Trump dump Pence? Seriously, Pence is about the best VP Trump is going to have as far as who he attracts vote-wise and how he handles the responsibilities of the office.

This was hashed out in June. Pence is staying. I think a woman on the ticket would have helped.

A woman on the ticket still wouldn’t necessarily help.

The issue with the suburbs in particular women is that media owns the narrative.

Medicare for all, open boarders, rescinding tax cuts, school option those are want trump has to keep beating. Gun control will be one of the issues the Dems hammer on.

He just needs to stick with the key issues for that base.

Only thing that give me hope is we saw a glimpse of campaign mode trump in NH last week and that’s who I hope he’ll be consistently as we head to 2020. He’s at his best campaigning and attacking candidates directly labeling them. Right now he’s quite on that front only targeting the squad.
