They'll go down the path of creating national battle assets (fighters, tanks, etc) instead of creating an integrated approach. The result will be a complex supply chian that limits the EUs overall military effectiveness. That's before any discussion on integrated C&C. In summary, it will be money spent to create a cluster frick.

I’m fully on board with 47 scaling back and ultimately pulling out of NATO. Europe has proven to be useless for us tactically and now they are simply another form of welfare and subsidization on the US.
1. Congress passed a law blocking it in 2023.
2. Most Americans support NATO.
3. It would severely weaken America and Trump knows it.
It’s a far-right isolationist fantasy.

When you find yourself 40T in debt, how a country or an NGO or an individual reacts to having their free money cut off shouldn’t play into the decision to cut the money off.

They won't do anything. They will still rely on the US to bail them out if something happens.
They won't increase their defense spending. They can't. They are buried in social services for immigrants.
What they will do is talk about the betrayal by the US while doing NOTHING to improve their defense. They betrayed the US for the last 60 years not living up to the REQUIRED NATO spending.

Europe will be forced to pay for its own defense.
There will be a lot of upset socialists.

If we leave NATO they will still have militaries that are vastly superior to Russia.

He will not pull out of NATO. But Europe will have to live with it if it happens. I will say these European leaders Meloni, Merz and the fake leader Kaja Kallas just cannot resist the temptation to bad mouth the US. And that is ill advised when we are actively navigating a shooting type war. These European leaders are all progressive now (Meloni??) in that they have TDS and just can't resist the temptation to chime in. Many Europeans have at our expense since WWII built up an air of superiority. I think from a link in a topic on Poli, I listened to some British guy on a discussion panel just rail about all that is wrong with the US. It pissed me off.

By the slimmest of margins and support is constantly dropping.

Gonna have to explain that...in detail

Judging by Pew research, it is moderates who are unfavorable as well. Good try to use "far-right" in a derogatory fashion.

We ARE Nato. There is no NATO without us.

The next democratic admin whenever they make it back to the WH will put US back in NATO and back at the high spending support limits that we were pre Trump, and rest of NATO will scale back their spending and let US foot the bill.
