Looks like he did. POTUS Trump and America are in much better shape now after this decision. Simple Art of the Deal maneuver played out perfectly.

I can not wait until he starts requiring licenses, permit, license fees and permit fees for those who want to do business with America.

This decision changed literally nothing in those areas.

You are right. Those areas of revenue have always been available.

As long as the IEEPA has been law, yes.

Theses companies are going to sue the government and win. Reptiles will finally kick Trump out of office. Bad day for free America.

And what did you do during Covid? Don’t lie.

Got vaccinated and hired a nanny (probably an illegal, we wanted a Spanish speaker) to take care of our kids.

So yea, I guess I see your point and agree the President should just continue to take money from Americans through illegal tariffs.

Historically, litigation is what has destroyed democracy.

I wonder about what Trumps comment about SCOTUS was about.

Trump was specific like they tapped his wires...

Correct. There are a few ways for a businees to get tarrif money back: first is to make an adjustment claim with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. We do this periodically in my company when we want to protest a tarrif amount.
Second is a lawsuit.
There might be a third option, and this would be to take all of the illegally collected tariffs and roll them into future Customs bonds, which manufacturers generally have to renew quarterly. This woulf be like having a very large store credit at a retail store.

No it isn't.

Saying litigation destroys democracy is like saying hospitals kill people because most people die in hospitals. They’re where sick people go to be managed. Courts are where political disagreements go to be settled and exist to channel conflict into briefs instead of bullets.

There would be no litigation without pre-existing disagreement.

Historically, democracies actually collapse when norms erode, elections aren’t accepted, courts are ignored, or the military intervenes. Litigation is a symptom of political fracture, not the root cause.

Whats going to get interesting is the consumers. You know those businesses didn't eat the tariffs, so if a consumer comes and demands refunds from the businesses, what happens?

The way capitalism works, those prices are now built in forever.

We had Software companies increasing prices and blaming COVID.

As a business owner dealing with tariffs, I really just want some fricking clarity and consistency. The amount of time and wasted energy spent on dealing with tariffs has been ridiculous.
