Your point? That book was categorized as heretical like 100 years later if memory serves. Not that it has any bearing on its legitimacy mind you, but if you’d like to start including books that aren’t in the Bible then you’re really stretching for a buoy to cling to pal. Enoch and the Dead Sea scrolls are fun to read too.
I take nothing in the Bible as historical fact myself. However, bringing up that book does nothing for the teachings in the Bible does it? Does the act of god there delegitimize the teachings in the book that are easy to understand? If anything it supports the teachings that god has dominion over man as his creation.
You gotta try harder than that to convince me that Jesus was ok with killing babies in the womb.
Tit for tat is specifically taught as a bad thing there. Believe what you want but when you consider the fact that nothing in the Bible except for Jesus’ existence can be considered historical fact, all you are left with is the teachings of how to treat each other, which is why the thing exists in the first place.
Kudos for knowing that there are books that were removed from the Bible. Not many people even know that. I’ll give you credit for knowledge and taking a less used angle here.
