... that DESTROYS the Russia narrative. It DESTROYS any semblance of "doing it by the book".

Of course they did , this was a plan to enact regardless of who received the nomination . Trump was just a beneficiary who they pounded on more so because of his brashness.

If they, the Exec branch spied on a SCOTUS justice, or Legislative Branch representive you have a condition that jepordizes the checks and balances of the Constituiton. If any information gathered was used to influence the execution of Constitution, then you have effectively overthrown our form of government, thereby commiting treason.
