What “compromise” are these goobers trying to sell us now? I haven’t seen any details. But yes OP.

Look for something that is ineffective and not constructive, such as increased background checks, waiting periods, raising the age to purchase a gun, red flag laws.

There are many Republicans that do not deserve your support, even if that means a Democrat is elected.

I don't agree. The time to ditch shitty Republicans is in primaries. In the end, as in when they seat Congress, we are still much better off with weak-assed Republicans than emboldened Democrats more capable of digging the hole deeper.

They are afraid this gun control issue will hurt them in November so they would like to dispose of it as quickly as possible.

They are wrong as usual.

Do they really think Democrats will cut them some slack if they cut a deal?

Democrats will take credit for whatever deal is made and continue to make Republicans out as killers of school kids.

Get ready to be disappointed....

The GOP will cave in and negotiate 2A! Too many RINOs on the payroll for this not to happen.

And it will make the USA even weaker

There is a part of me that thinks they do end up holding the line, simply because of the backlash on their party. There are so many outdoorsman, ex military, type guys I know that don't really give a rats arse about politics. But do greatly care about the 2A and their guns. The Republicans have worked very hard to define themselves as the pro-gun party, if they take this canard away, they will stop voting. There will otherwise be no point if they can't hold the line on a central issue.

And it isn't exactly like it's some random RINO like Collins or Romney. They will have 10 of them at least, all who have campaigned on being strict 2A defenders.

I think turtle and gang know that they would lose all supporters but the GOPe democrats. Which are a small minority in number.

If not for the fear that the democrats present going so far left that Bill Maher calls them out.

The democrats is the only reason to vote R.

If Turtle's influence doesn't go away they will have all voting third party saying frick it. It would be one thing if Turtle and gang were true moderates. They aren't they are true democrat swamp. Turtle only has about what 40 henchmen why do they have the power they do?

This used to be the rule. No more for me.

It’s on a case by case basis. Sometimes the Republican may have done just enough to warrant voting for his weak arse to prevent a Democrat. But that’s not always the case. Sometimes the transgressions are so egregious that voting for the R is not an option, no matter the consequences. Sometimes it’s best to throw it away and start over, like a really bad marriage: there’s worse things than being alone and losing half your stuff and seeing less of your kids. Sometimes the current situation is too toxic.

We really need a new party, but where can we get funding like the GOP or Dems get? It would mostly be grassroots funding and very few wealthy donors would fork out the funds for anything anti-globalist. Maybe someone like Elon, but there’s a limit.

The uniparty is entrenched.

You have to destroy it to create something new.

Ya can abandon them.. but with the help of massive propaganda apparatuses, we'll remain a two party system that forms the uniparty. The other political parties will continue to be drowned out.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do not understand the concept of a slippery slope. They really do believe, or more on point can be persuaded, that the other side doesn’t want to take guns, they just want some common sense gun control to protect children.

Crenshaw is an example. He openly calls for red flag laws, just some common sense gun control, and a supposedly conservative district keeps overwhelmingly electing him.
