If the 2024 GE comes down to securing the borders Trump should win in a landslide.

I do believe a majority of Americans have finally realized Jotato's open border policy is a huge drain on the US economy and US taxpayers The US is going to need less low skill labor as more jobs are eliminated due to automation and to some extent AI. Contrary to what many leftist economists and Banksters believe, we don't need 10-15 million low skill low wage workers added to the US labor force.
Other issues like abortion, DEI/social justice and climate change are going to be pushed by the Dims but I think Trump will be pretty good at diffusing the abortion issue with his position that states will determine their abortion policies.
I think Trump is fairly centrist on abortion.
Someone feel free to correct me but I think Trump subscribes to 15 weeks being the limit on when a woman should indiscriminately terminate pregnancy. I also think Trump said after 15 weeks a child should be brought full term except when a woman's life is at risk or the child is determined to be severely malformed and unlikely to survive.
Hopefully the R's don't fall for the abortion debate this time and instead focus on border security, the economy, negotiating the end of senseless global military conflicts, dismantling the Bureaucratic State, rebuilding the US industrial/manufacturing sector and alleviating the supply chain issues from China and SE Asia that puts our national security at risk.
It took 100 years for the cultural Marxists and Wokesters to gain control over every major US institution, it's going to take several election cycles with America First/MAGA candidates winning elections and becoming the majority in Congress to stem the tide of cultural Marxism and Globalism.

The border issue is one thing he definitely has in his favor. He should have been capitalizing on it.

One of the reasons I've posted about Trump winning and by a surprisingly wide margin is the border. Nearly nobody is for this shite, and it's starting to impact communities that were trying to hide from it.
ETA - given his failure to finish the wall in his first term, he should be campaigning for/with Republican members of congress on this and making sure the expectation of congress to fast track the wall is understood and done on Day 1.

Trump called it, that if he didn’t win, that Dems would try to destroy America…. Can’t deny he was right!

Yeah, but that's like calling Alabama over Western Carolina. Nobody should be surprised by what the Dems are doing.

The states that are getting the buses of illegals are deep blue. I enjoy seeing cities like Chicago & NY get hammered and face the reality of the policies they endorse but I don’t think it makes much of a difference. If they sent 10,000+ to Wisconsin and other swing states that might cause them to flip red.

If it was l, should have been a red wave in 2020 and 2022 as well.

Yup. Unfortunately Rons voice carried no weight

Why? Because you hear about it constantly on talk radio?
Most of the country, Average Joe doesn’t really give a frick.
Also, a Republican candidate probably would. Trump hasn’t had a good look among independents.

I agree with this but there are many R's in the House and Senate when pushed are more open border than border security.

It didn't help when the Republican faction of the D.C. Uniparty and the RNC were supporting candidates opposing America First/MAGA candidates, the establishment republicans spent/wasted a lot of money in AZ defeating Lake and other America First/MAGA candidates.

The gop is about to give Biden a victory here in a week or so with the passing of this border bill. The terms will sell us out I’m sure of it

Too bad that some cop will shoot a black person between May and August.
Anyone thinking that this election will be about anything other than typical Democrat grievance politics is a fool.
It will be a turnout game, as always. There are no undecided voters. Show up and vote.

It's inexplicable how many "conservatives" on this forum are still holding on to the establishment Bush era model of Republican politics.....that shite is why this nation has steadily drifted towards cultural Marxism.

After todays SCOTUS ruling, it comes down to them.

Media is already on this.
They'll start spinning stories if how the mass immigration has been a huge plus for America

This post was about borders but the abortion comment is worth mentioning.
Europe, which by and large, is more to the left than the US has more conservative abortion policies than the US. I believe, it’s pretty unrestricted in the first trimester, but largely illegal beyond that. I don’t understand how the US got so far afield from sanity on that issue.
