If FISA goes away, does the government stop spying on US citizens....bless your hearts

Do you think the Government never spied on US citizens before FISA Mr. Hoover?
Do you think they will stop spying if its repealed, just tear down all those data collection centers and call it a day?
You do realize all russia gate was done without a FISA warrant. They only got one when they realized they were going to be caught and they made it retroactive and double hop to cover all the bases.
When Rogers complained to the FISA court. The judge said that the FBI was using "consultants" with no vetted clearance, to access the NSA database 10s of 1000s of times with no supervision. So Obama then took access control from the NSA and said every intel dept would "monitor" themselves regarding access.
During the russiagate investigation there was a small footnote that read.....
"We could put rules and regs in to address this........but if they are not following the ones already in place, what good will new ones do?"
So get rid of FISA and the spying will stop. And for good measure make the 9th Ward of New Orleans a "gun free zone" so the violence ends.

So you’re against government spying but want to renew a program that legalizes it?
How does renewing FISA improve the issues you outlined?
If FISA were made illegal a future DOJ would be able to prosecute the people who chose to violate the law based on clear violations, if FISA is renewed they wouldn’t even be breaking the law in the first place.

Because FISA is irrelevant, spys will spy.
Comey had "consultants" searching the NSA database, unsupervised for 10s of 1000s of seaches. And none of that was done with a FISA warrant, and nothing was done. Then obama opened pandora's box for every agency.
Samantha Power as UN ambassador is an example:
When she "testified" before congress they stated that maybe a couple had to do with her job. She basically said someone must have stolen my library card. She had no FISA warrant.
FISA is about as relevant as "a gun free zone", it may make one feel cozy but it does nothing to stop the spying.

"Hundreds" of Requests: Sources told Fox News and the Washington Free Beacon that Power made "hundreds" of unmasking requests, with one report stating she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016, totaling over 260 by the end of that year.

They would be in prison right now if FISA hadn’t made their actions legal.
One of us wants to remove their legal protections so they can be sent to prison moving forward, the other wants to codify protecting them into law so no one can do anything about it when they do it next time.

So get rid of FISA and the spying will stop
I, at least, haven't seen anyone claiming that ending FISA will end government spying against its citizens. However, that doesn't mean you allow a program that is the antithesis of everything the US supposedly stands for to continue to exist and place the aura of legality on all the bad shite they are doing.
It needs to be removed because it is an affront to the American people, not because doing so will make the government honest.

Yeah they will always piggyback off 5eyes. Even with Brennans spy room.
Will AG Blanche close the DOJ NSD that has zero oversight?

If you don’t even live in the country you don’t get an opinion on what laws those of us that do are subjected to.
Aren’t you also the guy that wants to gut veterans benefits?

I'm not sure why you're arguing so hard to keep it in place. That certainly doesn't serve any interest except that of the spies.

You sound like you have no idea how FISA works and what things were like in this country pre-FISA. FISA is a legislative constraint on the Executive. It was enacted after the Church Committee found abuses by Nixon. Getting rid of FISA would just enable to the government to go after citizens like they did with Hoover.
