If Dems win the house we are fricked.

Talking to a friend of mind who is a congressional intern. He said the Dems aren’t being bashful about their plans if they win the house and laid out how scary that could be...
- first thing they’ll do is subpoena Trumps taxes.... he’ll tell them to get fricked
- it’ll go to the Supreme Court, where they’ll demand Kavanaugh recuse himself... he’ll tell them to get fricked
- they’ll try to impeach Trump and Kavanaugh... but will get stalled in Senate obviously
Here’s the scary part. Liberals believe so much what they’re doing is just and noble. And once these efforts don’t turn into impeachment, that’s when they’ll revolt in the streets and who knows how bad that will get.
What’s upsetting is this isn’t just a chance... it’s likely,

One of their largest donors Tom Steyer is almost religiously devoted to impeaching Trump and seems disappointed at the dem effort to impeach him so far.
But yeah, if the dems win the house this country is fricked. End of story.
No wall, no immigration reform, nothing.
We'll get judges through the Senate, but that's it. Nothing else will happen but drama.

Ell oh ell
They have zero grounds for such a request (even assuming adequate grounds for such a demand could ever exist), and even the hard lefties on the SCOTUS won't go for it.

Do you think that will stop them? These people are unhinged to the max.

Then there would be Hell to pay for the House Dems in 2020.

At this point, I don't care if they take the house. Senate is very damn important though for judicial purposes.
House republicans are wholly inept at passing legislation, anyway. So there won't be much difference.

No. But they won't get any help from the federal courts.
Remember...all a congressional committee can do is make a referral to the DOJ for contempt in response to a refusal to honor a subpoena.
Do you really think Sessions (or whoever the new AG is) will follow through on that? Did Holder pursue ANY of the contempt referrals sent to him?

I’m very much MAGA but I can sleep well knowing trump is picking justices/judges and not HRC

They are in for a surprise. congress will need the DOJ to enforce there subpoenas. If the DOJ says no, and they should then that is the end.
Remember Eric Holder was held in Contempt of Congress and nothing happened because Congress has no mechanism to enforce the Contempt. Congress needs the courts to enforce the citation and they need the DOJ to represent them.

They even try to impeach Trump or Kavanaugh they will lose huge number of seats and 2020 presidential race. It’s all fine and dandy when they are juicing their base to vote in this midterm, but they’ll cut their own throats if they follow through with it.

Can’t imagine living my life always scared of people different from me. Glad I’m not like that.

Many of the inept ones are leaving Congress and not seeing re-election, such as Paul Ryan. Once he is out of the way a new leader should be able to accomplish something.
The dems plan to accomplish: impeach 45; impeach Kav; take away the crumbs, just like the Grinch; and resist.
That's it. There is a very big difference. The repubs running for Rep and Senate this time will pass the repeal of No bamacare and will build the wall.

That part I'm not worried about. They'll get smacked down so fast we won't even have time to laugh at them. At least their ranks will be thinned out once it's over.

Do you people not get that Trump is a dead man walking?
His closest people, the people who have his his dirt for years, are talking to Mueller.
The tax evasion, the money laundering, the campaign finance violations, all of it is going to come out. He will be fortunate if he doesn't go to prison.
It blows my mind that he still has some support. But I guess anyone with a (R) next to their name is ok, right?

Disagree. A strong case can be made that Dems winning the House is the best thing that could possibly happen for our movement.
If they dont impeach the lefties will be incensed and it will cause their 2020 nominee to be a far leftist instead of a centrist like Biden.
If they do impeach the backlash will be intense and help Trump roll in 2020.

This isn’t about passing legislation, it’s not even about them trying to impeach Trump.. it’s that the road they’re wanting to go down leads to anarchy

Updated with the case. Also we will still control the more important Senate and gridlock can also help us reduce the deficit.
