I love Golden Era Hollywood films and especially classic film noir. I thus was a huge fan of Robert Osborne & TCM.

Because of his age and disposition, I think it is safe to assume that Osbourne was a bleeding-heart liberal Democrat. Yet I can honestly say I never knew the exact political leanings of Osborne based on his film commentary.

Since Osborne’s retirement — which coincided with Trump’s election to the White House — the overt political commentary on TCM has become simply unbearable. Everything progs touch turns to shite.

It was a credit to Osborne’s professionalism as a both film historian and presenter that Osborne did not force his own personal political predilections upon his viewers. May he RIP.

Of the 5 hosts that split duties since Robert Osborn retired (headed by Mankiewicz, a charter Young Turk), the only one who really keeps it pretty strictly about the movies themselves is Eddie Mueller, the guy who handles film noir. The other 4 do what they can to inject a leftist political slant into all things classic film.

I love the film content on TCM, which is pretty much why I keep watching. I usually try to tune out the commentary between films unless it’s Mueller.

Because the filth is scrubbing brown people from everything (Uncle Ben, too) and claiming it is for their own protection when they are actually eliminating their likeness from some of society's most recognizable and respected brands.
