As I said to another poster, show me one time in history when puritanical legislation prevented people from having sex.

Who is trying to prevent people from having sex?

could just stop giving welfare out to lazy people that don’t want to work . Maybe if they work then they wouldn’t have so much time to make babies to kill .

Do it. Seriously. Write your representatives right now. Make sure the House and Senate get a bill on their desk about abolishing all forms of civilian welfare.

How about we stop all welfare to someone who is already welfare? I am so fricking tired of paying taxes to support other peoples mistakes. If you cannot afford to support yourself (or another mouth) keep you legs together.I am amazed at how some people feel we should reward people for their mistakes. And them reward them a 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9th time for the same damn mistake.

If you are to stupid, lazy or mentally retarded to get a job making enough to support yourself and your children, the state should take the child into protective custody and forcibly sterilize the parent.

I agree about letting queers adopt, they can have the children that are taken from these worthless baby factories.

That isn't the system we have. And by banning abortions you are wanting the current system we have to be expanded even more. People who can pay for children aren't having abortions.

This.

You need to reform welfare before banning abortion. Otherwise you're just posturing.

I am not pro-choice. However, the issue I have with the staunch pro-lifers is it seems that most only give a shite up and until the time the human is born. After that, the attitude is good luck, go forth and prosper. Oh, you want social programs to assist these humans who are born into a life of abject poverty and/or physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. Sorry, no money for you! There needs to be a pro-life attitude for both birth and quality of life once born.

Looks like we are both in the same shoes. They are following the same book Democrats use and pretend its different. You have to address the underlying social and economic issues. Just attacking the end result (abortion) doesnt fix the problem, it increases it.

That's more than triple the number of abortions annually. The argument that getting rid of abortion would lead to an increase in kids lost to the foster care system is a crock of crap.

More so than you can imagine.

There are generally less than 100k kids in the Foster Care program.

The foster care system is for the most part good. It's biggest problems are because it is government run.

It is also designed to reconcile kids to their biological parents, most of which were enormous pieces of shite, which is why their kids became wards of the state in the first place.

They aren't. Neither are most, including those who claim to be "Pro-life."

LGBT, of all types, make up less than 6% of the population. The percentage that could be considered "homosexual couples" is so low that it is insignificant and would have literally no statistical affect on adoptions.

Here are some things that would actually help: -Pass mandatory paid maternity and paternity leave -Expand Medicaid so low income women feel confident in their ability to receive medical care -Teach comprehensive sex ed in middle school and high school, educate students about Plan B and the morning after pill -Allow and promote adoption by homosexual couples. Streamline the process and become the most adoption friendly state in the country. Women don't get pregnant when they are secure in their medical needs and receive adequate health services and when they are educated. Pregnant women don't get abortions when they feel secure in their ability to take care of a child or otherwise give it a loving home. Or they could waste a bunch of money on a pointless virtue signal that will continue to poison political discussion.

Your nonsensical post is the result of the debilitating mental disorder known as TDS.

Here's how you significantly reduce abortion, teach your children that sex before marriage is extremely risky and should only be performed by committed adults who are married and ready to raise a family. You also tell them people are frequently irresponsible and have sexual relationships outside of marriage and a pregnancy is often the result but the baby wasn't the irresponsible individual therefore the baby should be allowed to live and if the parents don't want the child it's put up for adoption. There are thousands of couples waiting to adopt children.

I'd wager that most of the women getting abortions are just loose ladies that like getting laid every night with random guys, but don't want to be responsible.

None of what you mentioned would solve that issue.

Don't presuppose that the Alabama legislature is really serious about abortion or even really care.....either side. This is about politics and dick measuring pure and simple> I happen to be pro life but I am under no illusions as to how genuine the Alabama politicians are. You should wear chest waders in their presence.

I guess a response of “I was too irresponsible to not have sex until I had economic and familial stability” was not available.

I don't personally know a single individual who waited until they had economic and familial stability to have sex.

Did you wait?
