I didn't vote for republican or Democrat and I haven't in the last 3 elections (counting midterms). I know the prevailing sentiment is that voting 3rd party is just handing the election to the democrats but there is a huge untapped voter base that never shows up for elections because they are so jaded with both sides of the uniparty.
If a new party could get all the Republican voters who hate the GOPe as well as some of the Democrat voters who are more middle of the road (they do exist) and also bring in a big chunk of voters who have hated both sides to this point, then we could upset the system and have actual choice in this country.

If it's like the Tea Party only much more powerful, I'm in. I don't want to join another Ross Perot or Bull Moose party. I say primary the RINOS and the spineless milksops.

BULL MOOSE PARTY, the nickname given by newspapers to the Progressive Party, founded in June 1912 by progressive Republicans who bolted the GOP convention to protest the regular party's "standpatism" and the usurpation of progressive presidential electors by incumbent William Howard Taft. The "Bull Moose" tag was an obvious reference to Theodore Roosevelt, the party's leader and presidential candidate, who sometimes identified himself with the male gender of the North American ruminant. When shot by a would-be assassin only weeks before the 1912 election, Roosevelt insisted on immediately filling a speaking engagement, saying "it takes more than that to kill a bull moose."
The 1912 Progressive platform supported measures including a minimum wage, workers' compensation, and women's suffrage. It advocated "a contract with the people," with government acting to improve social and economic
conditions. Many people considered the party's aims socialistic. Despite an electrifying campaign, during which Roosevelt trumpeted his New Nationalism, his candidacy split the Republican vote and arguably contributed to Woodrow Wilson's victory. Roosevelt placed second, polling 27.4 percent of the popular vote, the highest percentage ever by a third-party candidate Over the next two years, party leaders worked to build their organization, but the midterm elections proved disappoi

We’ll never take it over from the inside.
We’d have to kill it. And that probably means splitting it.

Explain to me your reason for believing forming a new party would NOT be a disaster for conservatives. I’ll wait for a logical reason.
Trump got nearly 75 million votes. Roughly 50-60 million of those go to the Republican candidate anyway. Trump only had roughly ~20 million die hard supporters who normally don’t vote at all but came out to vote for him. Sure, there’s a number of the normal 50-60 million voters who were very excited to support Trump also BUT there’s still a very large number of republicans who voted for him simply because he was the Republican candidate. Those are the ones who will vote for any Republican candidate.
A new party on the right would likely split the normal 50-60 million voters. Let’s say 25 million goes to the Republican candidate and 50 million goes to the Patriot Party (which would be generous). You’d still have 60 + million going to the Democrat candidate - WITHOUT the level of fraud we saw in 2020.
It’s best to reform the GOP by voting out the GOPe and replacing them with actual real conservatives who are young. Forming a new party would be a disaster. MARK MY WORDS.

As long as it is anti-politician I will seriously consider it.

Not switching registrations so I can still vote on local election primaries. However I'd likely vote for 3rd party on a national level.

Just clean the party, don’t kill it.
Almost impossible

My plan is to
1). support conservative candidates
2). Primary out weak, RINO republicans - Brian Kemp, Raffensperger, Dunkan, Brian Strickland, Drew Fergusan, Andy Welch
3). if primary fails to get more desirable candidate, I will vote new Party or pinch the hell out of my nose and vote for the commie Democrat.

I would remain an independent and vote for that new party.
I will never join a party again though. No party represents me or what believe in, not as parties are defined at this time.

tea party failed to do that. you could not clean out W, mccain or romney. we were stuck voting for these RINOS. frick THE GOP.. burn it to the ground. short term pain for long term gain. we have tens of millions now ready to switch. no better time. build up then go after the democrats.

this has been discussed also. there will have to be litmus tests and oaths maybe contracts to uphold party views so you can be kicked out the party at any time if you violate these

Exactly how is this going to happen with the rigged primary system where any challenger is overwhelmed with establishment money?
What lively challenges to sitting gope senators happened this last cycle? There were plenty of voters pissed off at them, surely there was one somewhere who had a tough primary fight.

I’ve been a registered independent since age 18 (I’m 53 now).
I would join the Patriot party in a heartbeat. The existence of a new party would ultimately destroy the Republican Party. We could primary all these crooked frickers and take over. I believe a patriot party could make some serious changes.

There’s no reason a Patriot party can’t be a virus inside the Republican Party.
There’s all kinds of far left parties that use the Democrat party.

That's a better idea...but we gotta be all in on this to get rid of the weak, spineless ones.
