I'd like to ask again............did the actual Police Department do something wrong here?

I ask because I don't know.

This incident happened. The cop is clearly wrong. But, I've seen nothing indicating that the department or the local AG had completed their investigation of the incident.

Did I miss an element in this story during all the chaos?

No. They’ve acted pretty quickly, all things being equal.

You missed the part where Soros backed folks said "Quick! Let's 'Ferguson This' while we have a chance!"

He’s suspended with pay based on what I’ve read. I’m not definitive on that.

I would assume that it’s standard based on the collective bargaining agreement. I don’t have proof of that either. I would guess the city can’t just fire a police officer in a day with their CBA.

All the stories I can find say ALL FOUR officers were fired.

If you're going to criticize anyone in this situation, let it be police unions and public sector union lobbyists. Only in a government job could Chauvin have the record he did and still be employed.

That’s certainly what the city is headed for. I believe someone pointed out they are still being paid.

I’ll try to find a link.

Yes. They had probable cause to arrest the officers. They didn’t conclude their investigation before arresting Floyd, they did so based on accusation and probable cause. The cop should’ve been placed in cuffs at the scene.

If so, my guess is that's a legal hurdle that can't be avoided.

But, to my OP. I mean. I just can't figure out the rioter complaint if the city/department takes action as swiftly as they are able and deal with the officers.

They can't go back in time.

I know this all sounds good in theory but, I'm betting there are significant process hurdles here.

It isn't as if they announced nothing will happen to the cop.

I know and I agree. I’ve been talking about this shite show with my wife and how I, for the life of me, can’t understand why looting, burning, and destroying the economic engine that will allow you to rise above oppression is being done.

If they would have looted and destroyed the police station, I get it. City Hall? Got it.

I don’t agree with either, I just would at least understand it. I don’t understand this

You know the answer....

This is about getting free zhit and breaking things because they hate "whitey" (and the same holds true for the white people taking part in this).
