Good. To tell the truth, I don’t think there should be crowd sharing on speed traps either- but even still, that’s a little different than ICEBLOCK. No one is using speed trap warnings to hurt cops.

There are already speed trap warnings on other apps anyway.

So enforcing the law is now authoritarian? These people are morons.

The app does nothing more than share information. Preventing that is a reduction in freedom of speech. Just because you disagree with what is being disseminated it doesn’t mean it should be prevented, that's the whole point of the 1st Amendment.

So yes, this is authoritarian in nature.

They did. It’s called Apple.

The lack of clear thinking on this does not bode well. Here are some facts:

1. When Biden was in charge this sort of thing was being done to conservatives, and we seethed. Remember when twitter was pressured by the executive branch to deplatform people who opined that covid was a lab leak?
2. A responsible company, like Apple, SHOULD deplatform people who are using it to do clearly reprehensible things. Like if someone started an app to help child predators hook up with defenseless children.
3. These actions should only be taken when there is no doubt that the proscribed activity is bad.
4. Opining that covid is a lab leak, or that mask wearing was stupid, does not meet that threshold. Blocking law enforcements legal activities DOES meet that threshold.
5. In order to protect our individual liberty we should all raise hell when these sort of actions are taken against activities that don’t clearly meet the threshold, REGARDLESS if it is lefties or righties whose ox is being gored.

what valid reason Apple has to remove it.

It's blatantly promoting illegal activity in the same way a "find drugs/prostitutes in your area" app would be pulled.

Apple had likely already turned a blind eye several times for it to reach 1 million+ users

Lol. Was being used to target federal agents, and sometimes attempt to forcibly prevent federal agents from doing their jobs.

Is there an app to crowd share drivers when an illegal alien is nearby driving a big rig?

Just kidding.

Sadly, they will eventually. We are in a period similar to the late 60’s/early 70’s with a lot of hate for authority.

This is a slippery slope here. While I appreciate the efforts by ICE, this reeks of governmental interference with freedom of speech and private business.

I think you're missing an angle here...now consider the legal liability if the app is used to locate and harm an agent. You think Apple skates free?

Yeah? Well I don't think there should be speed traps. When the word "trap" is used by any of our government we have a problem.

So frick off. We need more apps showing where speed traps are

frick speed traps and no it's not the same thing as reporting on ICE removing illegals. Illegals committed a felony entering this country, speeding is a warning/fine/citation in most cases.

Nope, and they're not using them to break the law, either. They're using them to warn people not to break the law, in truth.

It's completely different when the sole purpose of an app is to help domestic terrorists coordinate to literally obstruct federal justice. A-A-Ron should not only have his app banned and trashed, but I'd be ok with seeing him investigated for criminal conspiracy.
