Those of us who haven't had our brains washed by Big Government and Big Media remember ...

We remember Hapless Hans Blix. We remember his "mission" to inspect suspected WMD sited in Iraq. We remember how Saddam Hussein's goons kept Hapless Hans cooling his heels at the front gate of each site, while a convoy of trucks drove out the back gate. We remember that said convoys of trucks headed to Syria.

One plus One equals Two.

Is This the WMD From the 1990's Iraq Sent to Syria to Escape Detection?

I'm 100% in favor of bombing the sheet out of that whole area so they don't have bargaining chips.

They continue treating the Kurds like 4th class citizens and refuse to recognize their actual sovereignty.

Light 'em up Pete.

Israel hit a Syrian military base today to prevent troops from Turkey entering Syria.

I also remember Bush having to give Saddam Hussein a couple of months notice before we went to war. And yet people think that because didn’t find WMDs in Iraq after the war, it meant Saddam wasn’t trying to develop WMDs.

Well, no fricking shite. He had a couple months to transport all of that crap out of Iraq to Syria. We’ll never know for sure whether or not Saddam was trying to develop WMDs because of the advanced notice Bush was required to give him before any war was undertaken.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone (except the brain dead and brainwashed sheep who get their news from the mainstream media) that there are WMDs in Syria.

Assad also tried to develop a reactor site with the help of the North Koreans. Israel bombed it in 2007ish.

I know right. I remember reading about finding buried jets in the sand. If they could hide jets, they could certainly hide nuke material.

There could be a verified picture of Saddam personally burying this stuff in Syria and people would still deny it.

Will be interesting if they can prove where it came from and when.

As I remember the lie it was that Iraq HAD WMDs..not that they were trying to develop them. Obviously, Saddam didn't have WMDs or he would have used them to save himself.

Am I wrong?

Must we now bomb Syria so that we can then bring ten million of them over here to live with us here in the USA?

I'm in favor of bombing in order to stop Radical Islamic Nukes but, not if in exchange we just bring them all over here to live with us in the USA.

So...Trump was lying when he said that Bush lied about Iraq having WMDs?

No, we know for a fact Saddam had them. He used them on his own people (nerve agents and mustard gas on the Kurds).

It is a little more nuanced than that. Trump is quite fond of the terrorist currently running Syria. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

If he still had them at the time of our invasion, why didn't Saddam use them against our troops?

What I thought was interesting was how quickly the UDDA was able to establish bases in Iraq, the center of the ME. It meant no flyover permission needed and a perfect setup for the US Military.

Then "Bathhouse" Barry was placed in power.
