I highly doubt they administered a transfusion in the back of a Tahoe on the way to the hospital. He likely had a faint pulse upon arrival and they gave him blood before calling it. I don't think the AP purposefully lied about it. I think they were reporting the update from Charlie's team.

It wasn’t a lie.
He had a fatal wound but wasn’t killed “instantly”
He probably still had some level of vital signs when he got in the ambulance and died later.
That’s how a lot of fatal gunshot wounds work. Instant death the moment the bullet strikes is not as common as you think.
I’ve worked in ERs before and have seen gunshots right through the brain that had zero chance of survival but the person still took hours or even longer before they actually died.

I was watching the fricking videos of the youtubers on the actual AP news website reading it line by line including Megyn Kelly, Mark whatever his name is, Vince, etc etc etc
