I am ashamed to say that my first time voting for president was during my misguided years and it was cast for John Kerry. JFC I was retarded before waking up.
I was also able to vote for president the year I turned 18.

Voted for McCain.

I don’t feel great about it, but I didn’t know better.

Ohh I remember in 2016 when I was a young whipper snapper.

I woke up at 5:30 am to go and vote Trump in my first presidential election.

A very fine and proud day in my memories.

Congratulations, young man.

I grew up in a Southern Democrat household so my first misguided vote was for Jimmy Carter. But, then Reagan came along and been that way ever since. Don't recall voting for a democrat at any level since 1976.

Thank you. My first presidential election I embarrassing will say was for Dukakis. It felt wrong then and have never voted for a single Democrat since. Undoubtedly will be voting for the so-called felon again.

You lived in a time when the choices you had were easily distinguished with the age old = 'least evil' = determination.

Many of us made the best we could have the choices we had over the decades.

There are many votes I am not proud of now - but looking back, there was only the choice of a greater evil.

You are off to a good start - My first vote was for Richard Nixon in 1960. = I am still proud of that today - "Watergate dampened my pride for a while - because he had lied to the nation, and ALMOST voted for Carter because Ford had pardoned him. The years since has shown that Watergate was merely the opening salvo in the decades long attack on American culture by the coalition of the Democrats, the media, and an unholy oligarchy of 'one world' socialists.

TRUMP is the indispensable man in this era - perhaps our last chance to salvage our Republic for the interest of "the people."

You represent the new age which, if successful this time, can help drive that idea of personal responsibility an liberty for the next century.

This is my last rodeo - glad to know there are clear-eyed and right-minded folk to carry on.

edit - as Bud Adams said = "HOLD THE ROPE"

My generation is a lot more conservative than the left wants to admit.

My kids are all just a shade older than you, and I can confirm this.

Youngest daughter's boyfriend is kind of a green party blue dog Democrat hybrid, but all the others and their SO's are MAGA as hell.

The narrative that our youth are overwhelmingly leftist is a psyop pushed to try and colloquially steer the entire generation toward Marxism, but along with the psyop has come an awakening in GenZ.

Did buy the vote for John Kerry who served in Vietnam or did he offer you free Heinz Ketchup for life?

same here - that is the only vote I might go back and take a fishing trip instead of wasting my time.

But at the time, it was not so obvious that they were the same evil souls.

I'm not sure that level of retardation can ever be recovered from fully.

Glad you were able to make it back far enough to be a functioning and logical thinking adult.

My first vote was cast in 1980 for the great man himself.

Good for you, first person I ever voted for to be President was Mitt Romney.

Times have changed since then, can’t stand to look at him now.

Reagan was just controlled opposition.

There are statues across Eastern Europe honoring Reagan.

He won the Cold War without firing a shot.

You obviously have no clue about the mess Peanut left, and the shape the country was in 8 years later when Reagan left office.

My first election was when I was 19 in 2008.
Voted McCain and I can proudly say that I have never pulled the lever for a Democrat (although McCain/Romney were putrid Rino’s).
