Most of the so-called protests are being orchestrated by Obama and Soros. They are trying to make them appear spontaneous, and the MSM is playing along. It's up to the people to see through the BS and not fan the flames.

You might want to take a look at a recent electoral map.

For all practical purposes we are already in the midst of a civil war. You need only see what is going on among left extremist to confirm. And again, the only feasible solution I see is a formal and hopefully peaceful geopolitical division.

And I'll bet you think that giving the Palestinians their *homeland* would create peace over there too, huh G?

The sad fact is that we HAVE given the Left their total control of *geopolitical* fiefdoms...and that are the large Cities in our Nation. And just like any Socialist enterprise, it all goes well until they run out of other people's money to spend; and then they come knocking on the door of their prosperous neighbors...*asking* for social justice.

The heads of the Marxist snake will have to be chopped off, or the inflammation will continue to become more stringent and violent by the day. The SJWs are like the Islamists...they truly believe it is their moral duty to overcome their Ideological adversaries with whatever means necessary. Let history bear witness. Either they are suppressed...or to the degree that they aren't, you are forced to kill em'. Earth 2017.

It amazed me how a lot of southerners think war is limited to hot war (e.g., guns, bombs, and other things that go "boom"). War today is economic and possible demographic, and the two are often intertwined, or else they can be at times.

If an internal war like Bleeding Kansas were to occur today it would end the US and devastate much of the planet, since we are in a multi-polar international system with many nukes and bioweapons in the hands of many nation states that would seek to seize on the opportunity if the US were to ever balkanize.

The impulsive buffoons from the south that think they are going to go out to other states and annihilate protestors are suckers wanting to take the bait. An internal hot war within the US would be a wet dream for many rogue states out there seeking to bury the US. Also, Russia sided with the Union and so did Germany (Prussian-American Jayhawkers) during the American Civil War. Germany has the strongest economy today and Russia has the best military might. Moreover, Merkel was raised in the former East Germany and Putin spent his KGB years serving in East Berlin, so it is a matter of time before the German economic superpower aligns with Russian military power to eliminate the EU and possible eradicate Islamist groups in Europe that the US sent in by destabilizing Mideast nations and causing a mass exodus.

Not too many people are happy with the American south's pro-neocon movement and the Iraq War, which will probably turn out to be the biggest mistake in world history before it is all said and done. It was the south that was hawkish and in favor of toppling regimes during the Bush years.

Oh wait ya'll didn't realize this in 1861, either

Financially maybe. But the blue states depend on the red states for food, water, and electricity.

Oh and Guns. Where are the VAST majority of guns? Red states. I doubt that the majority of red states would rally to go fight the blue states. If a civil war began all the red states have to do is sit back and watch the blue states fall apart.

When the food runs out the people in the large metropolitan areas will turn on each other. When things go to hell do you think the city workers who keep the water running will show up for work, or stay at home to protect their families? When the water stops then disease sets in and its over. The few people who leave the cities in search of food will be met by people in rural areas who have food and guns.

Dont think just because the north had an upper hand 152 years ago that the next time will be the same...

You realize this wouldn't be a war along state lines, right?

It would be the shortest civil war ever. All those ignorant hick flyover proles the left despises so much are the same people that courageously go die for them in foreign shitholes a million miles from home.

Interesting fact...21.9% of officers and 31.6% of enlisted are minorities. Hispanics are not included in that number. They make up 11.6%.

So I think you haven't spent much time in the military lately if you think the demographics are similar to right wing fly over territory.

That's closer to fly-over demographics than, say, Chicago demographics. Those numbers also skew very much in one direction the closer you get to combat arms.

The actual war-fighting, shooting branches of the Army, Navy, and Marines (infantry, armor, special operations, etc.).

There are a million reasons for that, and it probably should be in another post, but casualties in the GWOT skewed very much white, male, and middle class compared to the military-aged population of America as a whole.

I honestly doubt this comes to pass, as our Democracy has shown to be incredibly robust even in the face of upheaval. The Civil War had a LOT of factors in it, most of which we are not going to reach the level of here.

The biggest issue is that since Clinton, things have swung more to each side of the pendulum. Obama got things REALLY in swing with his utilization of EOs and his "elections have consequences" statements. That mentality led to a Washington that doesn't even give lip service to compromise anymore.

So Washington has decided to play everyone against each other, and it's working. I don't think it will lead to a civil war, but it is doing exactly what they hoped it would - making it an us vs them mentality for each election cycle.

I won't hijack any further. My main post was that the demographics of the military are pretty similar to the demographics of the country once you adjust for the fact that Hispanics aren't considered minority in the published stats.
