Nah, this is different. The red states have all the natural resources. They would possess most of the electricity generation and therefore control the power grid. Oh, and there is water also. Blue states just have cities.

Yeah except for the entire fact that in those previous occasions in dem olden flint-lock days, each side didn't even have a standing army and were just States until the strife.
And...that now, US has sorta - the most powerful military on the planet and things called nukes.
So there's that to contend with.
So you would need a defacto coup from some rogue military top brass in some secessionist state to even begin to threaten anything by stealing shite.
And then its not a Civil War it's just a terrorist act.

I live in Georgia. I'm from Ohio. My wife's family is from Georgia. I don't know a single person who wants to start a war within our country. It's creepy that some of you are almost cheering for it though.

UTMB Galveston has all of the vaccines we need. They're over there because the diseases can be studied there, and a break out could easily be quarantined.
