Saying it has a high mortality rate is very subjective. So would you consider Ebola to have a higher or lower mortality rate? Would you say that COVID or influenza has a higher mortality rate for ages 1 thru 39?

The virus issue aside, I'd give my whole paycheck for when joe says trust the science, for a reporter to say "Science says there's only two genders".

I'm no OT baller, but I am a EE making good money compared to the part of America than can't afford a $400 emergency... So I'm good for it.

I didn't say it's higher than the influenza virus or HIV or any other virus. I said it's high. I didn't say its higher than a certain percent. What's with you and comprehension?

Science that liberals believe in..

More than two genders.

All white people are genetically racist.

Climate change is 100% man made and mankind can get rid of it.

Women and men are equal in all areas.

Black people are genetically inferior and must be taken care of by white Democrats.

Exactly. Of all the batshit crazy things posted on this board, people cling to the one that goes against their belief.

High means nothing.

It is a subjective term that isn’t useful to anyone.

Saying it is “high” is moronic.

We don’t shut down for other viruses. We don’t shut down for the flu, but you said, and I quote “I didn't say it's higher than the influenza virus”.

So, again, what is high? How high is it’s mortality rate?

Oh everything on this board is so fricking useful.

Read the whole post that I wrote originally. It's a contagious virus that we knew very little about in the beginning and a lot of people died early on.

quote:

We don’t shut down for other viruses. We don’t shut down for the flu

No we don't. But we did when the flu virus started killing people during the early 20th century. When we get vaccines, we'll probably stop shutting down. What's so hard to understand?

Because like everything else, they only believe in things they agree with.

I think some people fail to grasp how serious a 1% death rate means. This means that, if hypothetically, every American were to catch the disease, over 3 million Americans would be dead.

In addition, the virus also leaves widespread organ damage in some survivors. Which will have effects lasting for decades.

Just because "it's a virus" doesn't mean it's trivial, as the OP seems to be suggesting. Plenty of viruses are deadly serious stuff.

it’s not even close to 1 percent.

CDC estimates .26 percent, and that’s only being weighted up by higher mortality in patients over 70.

They believe in the science that they want. It’s the whole logic thing that really ducks them up

So you would say "the flu" has a "high mortality rate"?

Well it’s a good thing that no estimate of the IFR is ANYWHERE CLOSE to that number then

Anecdotal, but let me ask you this. Have you done any research on the cost of lockdowns on a population. It’s significant. Some estimates say we will have 50-100k at least untimely, possibly preventable deaths from late cancer screenings alone. Not even taking into account the massive uptick in suicides or the damage caused by govt forced poverty on so many. Not even sure how we would quantify the developmental damage we are doing to our children.

It’s criminal, and 100% unconstitutional

The fact that it is so infectious would only mean it mutates quicker too. There is a reason there has never been a normal corona virus (common cold) vaccine. Because it would be like wrangling a Global heard of cats.

You claim it has a high mortality rate, so you present the facts. That's not how this works.
