I suggest people still vote early, don't wait until Election Day.

This isn't like past elections. With all the pandemic snafu and whatnot going on, and the Democrats trying last time to close Republican-district polls on time while allowing Democratic-districts to stay open past closing time, don't take the risk. You do not know what could cause you to be unable to cast your vote. All the social-distancing, pandemic stuff means you could be waiting in line far longer than before.

There is no drawback to voting early. A vote early is the same as a vote on Election Day itself.

So if you're reading this, please don't wait all the way until Election Day itself. It doesn't make your vote any more or less valuable, but it does run the risk that you won't get to vote.

My area only has two places open and the lines are huge. On election day, there will be 20 polling places open. I'm waiting for election day and will breeze through.

Well, in order to early vote, you need to live in a state that has early voting.

I’m voting on Election Day like always. I’ll be there early in the morning. They can’t stop me from voting on Election Day

yes, I know in many places Election Day itself is still a breeze. But I'm baffled at how some people on TigerDroppings seem convinced that there is some sort of benefit to waiting all the way to the day itself to vote, as opposed to voting early. I can't see a single benefit.

I usually vote early but lines are ridiculous in BR right now. So, I’ll probably get up at crack of dawn on election day and vote:

I don’t think anyone thinks it’s a benefit. It’s more of just a tradition for many people. It’s fun to wake up on Election Day and head to the polls

My polling place is within walking distance, at a church. Early voting is at the library, in town, parking in a deck, getting in line with hippies, etc. I'll probably wait.

Until they do. This is 2020 clown world. Tradition and normalcy are under attack.

Best wishes.

It’s a personal decision, and I don’t trust my vote laying around in some computer for longer than it has to.

From what I've been reading and hearing from the media they sure as hell think early voting means everything, i.e., early voting carries more weight.

The earlier you vote the better idea the democrats will have on how many dead people need to vote for them to win.
